Jul 04th, 2011 - 12:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Cars were all imported and to have new cars coming into the country meant that money had to leave the country.
Jul 04th, 2011 - 01:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Remember that the rest of the free world was banning new imports from Cuba. This was lead by the USA . The interresting thing was that it was to be no NEW import contracts were to be done which gave Coca Cola the sole right to import sugar into the USA.

Jul 04th, 2011 - 06:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0it's not 'regime change' - you don't seriously think that those in power have ANY intention of relinquishing it, do you?
It's a policy change - but only a little one, and that only because 'the natives are restless tonight'.
Regime Change = Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc etc ..... i'm taking about US policy!
Jul 04th, 2011 - 06:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Georetard is (finally) correct, it's only policy change. The regime change what artillero is typing about so called arab spring is about having access to the big cake (oil and other natural recources), but guess what, it doesn't work. meanwhile the US still keep wasting money by going deeper in debt while the nation burns. That's the Policy of both left and right who are owned by the corporations.
Jul 04th, 2011 - 06:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Sorry, Art, but regime changes come from within; you can do your bit ( y'know, hearts & minds ;) but it's a bit like 'freedom fighters'-v-'terrorists' - one man's regime change is another man's government overthrow. One good; other bad.
