“recently had to apologise after comparing two journalists to “the people cleaning out the gas chambers after the holocaust”, insisted that the “Argentine domestic market is expanding like no other occasion in its history” GROSS! He has no f*cking idea what he's saying, but he feels the aching need to say certain things thinking that people will like him more. Now I remember Cristina de Kirchner when visiting Russia, and she said stupid things about the revolution in Russia, how great Stalin was lol that bloody bastard! These people are shameless so there is nothing you can say to make them change the way they behave.

Well, not only was Argentina immune from the 1929 crisis but they also learnt from it and are now a shining beacon to economists around the world..... lol

Just a incorrect, unconcentrated and uninformative propaganda piece, written by a Malvinas Public Relations Company representative.

The ignorance of the signer, Mr. Neil Russell (or is it Rulless or Relluss or Ressull) is just embarrasing……

In just a few line, he manages to write:
    ”Financial Secretary Guillermo Nielsen”
    ”Nielson, a renowned economist”
    ”Neilson believes that”

Mr. Russell… You have an easy and well paid job….. At least concentrate a bit.

“Last Tuesday,...Minister of the Economy, Amado Boudou surprised economists when he declared Argentina immune from the current global crisis.”

The main arg. problem with ck´s poodle boudou is, that he very well knows that he talks nonsense, but makes his 50 % poor arg. people - his voters - believe that it is true. And they do believe in hope that it continous. See above the “4 BRAVO” of geo.

Clearly some Argentines are gullible enough to believe the nonsense spouted by their government that they are immune from global economics - we have seen that some posters here believe it. It is pure common sense that if the only economic super-power struggles, the world will feel the effects. If fact, weaker, developing countries will be even more affected.
Investment is about confidence and the level of risk the investor is prepared to take. When the market is bullish, investors will take a punt on riskier economies. They start shying away when there is a bear market. That was evident in the percentage the markets dropped in countries that claim they are 'immune' .
I absolutely think that politicians have a duty to steady the markets by making statements and policy decisions to build confidence in investors. It would be utterly foolish for them to make statements along the lines of “Help, the market is crashing and I have moved all my money abroad”. But, equally, Boudou's foolish statements will undermine market confidence because they can so easily be proved to be idiotic.
Boudou should stop trying to get Brownie points from his mistress and start behaving like a serious politician.

Of course Argentina is not immune from any World crisis but its lack of debt is a shock absorber the Europeans dont have. The CFK haters have to recognize theincredible progress of national industry under the Kirchners. Car production in 2002 around 100.000 Which had peaked in 98 at 450000 will be over 800000 This year selling not only to the home market and Brasil but over 10% going to Europe..She has also had the cojones unlike in Britain or the US totake on the local Murdochs of Clarin.Despite total antagonism from the countries biggest media group she remains favourite for the presidency.WHY because most Argentines think she is doing a good job.

    (11) Artillero601
    You ask:
why do the Armed Forces have to provide security to the Electoral Process??

    I answer:
Because our Democratically Elected President, AND Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, has ordered them, through Presidential Decree 587, to perform some decent work for their Country…….

”Efectivos militares y de fuerzas de seguridad iniciaron el traslado de urnas a los lugares montañosos más inhóspitos del norte y sur del país, para las primarias abiertas, simultáneas y obligatorias del domingo.”
    http://www.elsolonline.com/noticias/view/105823/trasladan-las-urnas-a-los-lugares-mas-inhospitos-del-norte-y-sur-del-pais

As you should know by now, Mr. Artillero601, soldiers are bound to obey legal orders issued by their superiors…………
What an enormously positive change this Ol´ Country of mine has experienced during the last years……
Seeing our Armed Forces I learned to despise serving the democratic system I learned to respect…….
Tomorrow will be a Good Sunday…………..
    Enjoy………..

It is true that the Argentine Economy somewhat CPI problems !
    BUT
It can not be lowered into narrow band by any palliative methods !

It is possible that to lower into [ 5 %...7% ] band by the new
    System technics & applications !

The problem is that the Peso isn't really a good benchmark, try substituting the Dollar for the Peso

    Industrial Production
    2002/ 63,634 million dollars
    2010/ 65,886 million dollars ...................BRAVO !

    Hotels/Restaurants
    2002/ 6,684 million dollars
    2010/ 8,135 million dollars ......................BRAVO !

    Transport/Communications
    2002/ 23,128 million dollars
    2010/ 26,029 million dollars .....................BRAVO !

    Agricultural Products
    2002/ 30,497 million dollars
    2010/ 31,500 million dollars ....................BRAVO

Yes, everything is up in terms of dollars.

No, the margin by which everything is up is not spectacular enough to warrant much more than a raised eyebrow, rather than four standing ovations.

i understand your tally ....but in technically we can't calculate
by simple arithmetic procedures..becouse Argentina has not been
using -US $- in it's own markets(Economy)and also -US $ -'has no any own nominal values .....means that the calculations of some markets'
tallies according to - US $- could be wrong ..
    BUT
we can calculate them by 1993/Peso value
then ; we obtain the below numbers ( millions Pesos)
    Industrial Production
    2002/ 36,176.............2010/ 67,547
    Hotels/Restaurants
    2002/ 6,152 ..............2010/ 10,180
    Transport/Communication
    2002/ 20,664 ............2010/ 49,605
    Agricultural
    2002/ 14,370 ...........2010/ 20,046
