Boeing lobbies F-18 Super Hornet contract with flight simulator in Brazilian congress

Boeing Co. promised a full transfer of technology to Brazil if the US-based company wins a 9 billion dollars fighter-jet bid. The president of Boeing Military Aircraft told the Brazilian Senate defense committee that Brazil would be able to fully produce the F-18 Super Hornet if it purchases the planes from Boeing.     I can see why, they're supposed to cost about the same. I'm not so sure about the Russian's willingness to include any tech transfer though.

    In a modern shooting war, given the likelyhood of every airbase within range having a big target ring round it, I've got to admire the SAAB Gripen.
    One of it's initial design assumptions was that it could be refuelled, reloaded and ready to fly after having been resupplied inside of ten minutes by one technician and five conscripts from a truck.

    Brazil and Argentina both mutually have the capacity to produce their own, it's time they developed there own variant.
