Unasur agrees to greater economic coordination but remains divided on Libya

Noting the entry into force of the Treaty establishing the UNASUR, 11
March 2011, made to grant full international legal personality
the organization is a milestone in the process of integration
South America.
RESOLVED:
4. QUESTION OF THE MALVINAS ISLANDS
To instruct the President Pro Tempore, to consult with Mr. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, during the next General Assembly, in order to ascertain progress in its mission good offices, as requested by the Heads of State and Government of UNASUR in his letter sent on April 2, 2011
5. CENTER FOR STRATEGIC DEFENSE (CEED)
SOUTH AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENT IN HEALTH (ISAGS)
Ratify the signing of the Headquarters Agreement between UNASUR and the Government of Argentina for the operation of the Center for Strategic Defense (CEED), based in Buenos Aires To approve the Statute of the South American Institute of Government in Health (ISAGS) Rio de Janeiro, adopted by consensus at the Fourth Meeting of Council South American Health, in Montevideo on April 14, 2011 and authorize the Secretary General to sign the Host Agreement between UNASUR and the Federative Republic of Brazil.
6. MEETING OF MINISTERS OF DEFENSE, JUSTICE AND INTERIOR
CARTAGENA
To convene a Preparatory Meeting of Ministers Meeting Defense, Justice and Home Affairs... to analyze threats of transnational organized crime and other new threats regional security, according to the statement in the Declaration of Lima product of the Third Regular Meeting of the South American Defense Council....Similarly,instruct the Center for Strategic Studies of Defense (CEED) to initiate studies on these risks and threats..”

I don´t think this FLAR will be sign by our congress (Chile) because when the regional bank was created they invited Chile and we say No so I don´t see a reason to accept this new fund in fact this fund is just a “give money to the countries with no international reserves” I´m not paying taxes to subside fiscal problems of other countries

Chavez, a socialist who flies to Cuba for cancer treatment but who wouldn't afford his citizens the same luxury. I guess we are all equal but some are more equal than others.

Aug 26th, 2011 - 02:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0we had a perfect example of the marxist behaviour....Gladys Marin, comunist party leader from long time whe was affected for a cancer went to Sweden and Cuba for treatment instead a common treatment in a Chilean Health System, which she was a hard defender during her political campains, like as the regular citiziens must do.....repeated by the older monkey (and very close to her and Gaddafi) Huguito....
A “big” country that is not able to face to other little country as Falklands Is. is needing the help of the all Latam countries to pursue it dreams ????
