Colombian guerrilla kill 13-year old girl for twice abandoning the group
A commander from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, FARC, in the southern province of Tolima ordered the execution of a 13-year-old girl who had been turned over to the guerrillas by her mother on two occasions, an army spokesman said. Read full article

But it could be worse, in some war-zones the young people traded to the insurgents are made to kill, made to rape and made to cut off people's hands, arms and reproductive parts.
Perhaps the FARC - with just rape and killing of their young - are not quite so bad as the folks of middle-Africa. At least the FARC's erstwhile young soldiers get disposed of to the grave with all their limbs in place.
Disgusting, poor kid.

Because 'Hearts and Minds' has failed for them, The FARC have a vested interest in violence, debasement and fear, for this is the only way to gain and maintain local power and control.
If not Stone Age, it is a reversion to pre-civilization.
And a revulsion to civilization.
