Last night the utility company mended their electricity blackout at EXACTLY the wrong time.
I am considering requesting compensation for the acute termination of enjoyment citing the legal position of in flagrante delicto.

Your fault, Geoff.
Before doing whatever you were doing, you should have turned the light switch to “off”, in case the power came back on(which it obviously did!).
