Disclaimer & comment rulesShe 'demands', every year. And on every occasion that she opens her mouth. Argentina appears to have a plan whereby they bore the hell out of every other country in the hope that pressure will be applied to the UK.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 06:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0We can resist pressure. Particularly from a bore !
Get a life gal! Get used to not having the Falkland Islands :-)
We are prepared to protect them - http://falklandsnews.wordpress.com/
The ICJ is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. If Argentina is serious about challenging the UK then this is where CFK needs to go but of course CFK already knows this.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 10:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Nothing but another photo opportunity for CFK to show the folks back home.
'Demand'? I hope she doesn't. It is not attractive for leaders of countries, wishing to be taken seriously, to act like spoilt teenagers.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 10:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0One of the signs of a mature leader is to adapt to the audience. Stamping feet and making rambling impassioned speeches goes down well with the domestic audience but not so much on the world stage.
Makes me laugh, demands indeed.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 12:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Actually Elaine, l hope she does demand. The more people she upsets, the better. lt makes us look good.
The UK should demand Argentina lifts its illegal blockade of the Falklands. Couldn't think of anything funnier than CFK being dragged before the UN to explain why her government has initiated an illegal embargo, an act of war under the UN Charter.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 12:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@ 4 If she doesn't read from speeches but makes it up as she goes along, she may well put her foot in it. As we have been told by the Argentines on here, she is known for speaking before thinking.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 01:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina is in breach of Article 74 of the UN Charter.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 02:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0GA Resolutions are merely advisory ... the Charter is International Law!

So there you have it, RG commenters. The Botox Queen can stamp her foot all she likes. Although it would probably best to ensure that the staples holding all the bits together are renewed.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 04:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Britain has no doubts over its sovereignty and Britain will never negotiate Falkland Islands sovereignty except with the express wish of the Falkland Islanders.
I read somewhere that Cristina suffers from clitoromegaly, that explains it all :9
Sep 19th, 2011 - 05:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If last year's performance was anything to go by then I am going to watch this on-line for a good laugh.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 06:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0She was an embarrassment to her nation last year.
Things are different this time.

UK press reacts to Obama’s support for Argentina in the Malvinas Islands issue
”This week the OAS General Assembly at its meeting in San Salvador passed by unanimous consent, and Washington SIGNED, a “draft declaration on the question of the Malvinas Islands”.

i think that , CFK 's step on not taking serious the British is reasonable
Sep 19th, 2011 - 06:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0becouse .. there are many reasons..
e.g : the value of -- £ -- at the international derivatives markets' options
operations is almost -- zero-- !!
what does this mean ?? very simple that you can't blackmail on
Argentina in related of international commodity derivative markets !
lol, Geo, talking crap again.
Sep 19th, 2011 - 06:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Marcos, you are correct, a draft agreement, draft only, nothing more, and only of a question, nothing about sovernity.
You Malvinists really need to learn to look between the lines...............:)
So Marcos things are different are they?
Sep 19th, 2011 - 06:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0US owned rig.
Flagged in Panama.
Ships related to the oil exploration calling via Brazil
The only thing that has changed is that Singapore now owns a bigger stake in the exploration.
Two options Marcos, ICJ or Military. You are unwilling on one and incapable on the other.
There is one good thing about CFK though. She makes every other world leader look talented.
reminds me of that other[ Cristina] proson number 34765546.

14 Beef Ah yes I almost forget about the hugeinterest the big oil companies have in Malvinas water exploration, by the way down again today.

So if the Falklands oil potential is so promising, then why are the international major oil companies not involved? The answer is in brief that they have looked at the islands’ potential and given a pass.
While in history is rife with examples of daring oil explorers making fortunes, the number of examples shrink dramatically when major oil companies give a pass on projected production and you future output is situated in a contested site

all the extracted resources by foreign powers in the Malvinas which are not for the use of the native population will require compensation to Argentina in the future.

Sep 19th, 2011 - 09:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You can have your malv..., where ever they are. We will keep the Falklands.
@16 geo,
What are you trying to say, my good fellow?
Troneas - read the FACTS please - ALL 100% of any oil revenue would accrue to the Islands People (their democratcially elected Govt) -that inlcudes ALL Islands citizens of which I am one and my family has been for over 160yrs so that makes me the nearest thing there is to a native. After all you and the other 2/3rd of your 40 million are not actually native to your country are you - of european descent just like me.
Sep 20th, 2011 - 12:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0Marcos - accept reality - the major companies are watching but not interested unless real big volumes appear- we know that and every one knows that - except you I think! IF we do get big volumes appearing then you can bet your last dollar that the big boys will then want in - and will be prepared to ditch Argentina in the process.- because they go where the big money is.
Nobody - not Rockhopper nor FI Govt - nor the market disputes that, so far ,investing for commercial exploitation and extraction is marginal, due to the field size known to date- a lot lot more info is still needed including the Competent Persons report due out 1st quarter 2012.
Contested Area? - if it was regarded seriously as such then no way woulf RHK, Desire etc have raised the funds to achieve what they all have so far, and others are raising even more funds.
But then if you want to live in cuckooland - dream on.
Morcrap - accept reality ?? lol :-)

John Daly at the oilprice.com
Marcos - FYI I think the article is great, also Italy downgrade. This should drop the price of RKH meaning I can buy more undervalued equity and tuck it away until production or buyout.
Sep 20th, 2011 - 06:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0Isn't that obvious, but I forget you are intellectually subnormal so struggle to comprehend such things.
Does CFK take her medication before speaking at the UN?
Marcos, quite happy with the article- you see some of us live in REALITY - unlike some on here who live in a fantasy world.
Sep 20th, 2011 - 10:13 am - Link - Report abuse 0I expect S.Pinera is hoping CFK will just want to talk about bilateral relations with him in NewYork Wed and not screech into his ear her diatribe about the Islands.
just a thought
Sep 20th, 2011 - 03:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0does CFK ever visit
the KFC,
@ 24 she will say whatever she wants to say. For Cristina, Piñera is a condom, she uses it and after she throws it away. That woman has a clit the size of a blue whale pennis.
Sep 20th, 2011 - 03:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Perhaps not then
Sep 20th, 2011 - 08:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0She probably visits the Chinese .
,
Well, that speech was embarrassing. The interpreter really struggled with her rambling nonsense. At least I hope he did or she just said that the economic crisis was just 'keyboards jumping to keyboards' 'One day speculating on oil and the next on mints'.
Sep 21st, 2011 - 04:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Then she likened Argentina to Palestine with regards to TFI. She wanted the UN to understand the injustice of LAN Chile having a weekly flight to TFI.
And she blathered about Argentina being victims of international terrorism. Not smart on ten years after 9/11.
But she did refer to notes from time to time and wore her glasses to read out facts and figures.
Luckily for Argentines the hall was half empty for her speech.
@18 Hahahahahaha. What makes you think there will be anything called Argentina in the future? Best way to ensure there are no compensation claims is to ensure there are no claimants. And Britain has the capability to ensure there are no claimants.
Sep 21st, 2011 - 06:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0In the meantime, has CFK explained how low she has to get to let the Chinese screw her ass? Bet she loves it. Bet you would as well.
