UK opens consultation period on new strategy for Overseas Territories so basically, the UK governement is getting dirty in its pants lol
”The 14 OT include: Anguilla; Bermuda; British Antarctic Territory; British Indian Ocean Territory; British Virgin Islands; Cayman Islands; Falkland Islands; Gibraltar; Montserrat; Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands; St Helena and St Helena Dependencies (Ascension and Tristan da Cunha); South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands; Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia; The Turks & Caicos Islands” hey you fools, you forgot the Chagos Islands!!! ah, sorry, those black Chagossians have no right to self-determination, they're blacks after all :)
The truth is we couldn't defend anything further than the other side of the Channel

Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope’s warning yesterday that Britain does not even have enough ships to continue even the small operation in Libya, highlights the weakened state in which defence cuts have left our navy; a position from which we are incapable of defending our territory in the south Atlantic.
War Rotted? Who is talking about war, only highly paranoid Brits.
You are loosing your colony in Argentina without firing a single bullet.
And I am sure The Guardian has more readers than homemade lord whatever.
The Falklanders had their 'Ghandi Moment ' in 1982 .... the RGs never did get them to drive on the right did they? And what was the name of that Irish RG army prat ? That young girl did a good 'Ghandi' on him. I wonder where he is these days....
@12 ... I don't think the parrot really understands Ghandi or India at all.....
This is democracy..you consult with people and ask them what they want...........jajajaajajajaja a lot of democracy I see ............ajaajajajajj
1) consult 1: we govern you as we like, but you can choose what butter do you want to eat next month?? We know of that we have been a colony.
You are few, close, not open to changes, all benefits to Britain not for you. A colony with other name, thats the only thing that changes.
And what happened in 1833 is the most important thing of this matter. That one that shows you dont have rights, that is why you dont want to talk about it.
#16 Oh malevolent one, what you choose to believe is immaterial, the islands are self-governing, any oil revenue goes to the islanders and peddling a fiction won't make that go away.
What happened in 1833 doesn't matter but what you claim happened didn't. Have a nice day now, be careful not to spit bile too much as it causes condensation.
@1 Hi goldilox. Have you tried looking up what is contained within the British Indian Ocean Territory? Really must try harder.
@2 That's what you thought in 1982!
@16 What happened in 1833 is no longer relevant. The right Britain, and the Falkland Islanders, have is known as uti possidetis. Look it up. Then remember who surrendered on 14 June 1982 and who was left in possession of the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Remember?
Thanks to MercoPress. I wasn't aware of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office consultation. But I've made my contribution now. Thanks again!
Somebody should tell the Botox Queen about this... she could have saved a lot of her money.... Oh ... it wasn't her money? She stole it from the people?? oh dear....
