This article, including the photo, is a very good representation of Argentina today. About 99.9% of these problems are either due to the National government of CFK or to the province (not City) of Buenos Aires.

And some argentines on here say that britain is going down the pan, perhaps they should concern themselves more about the problems their own counrty are facing, such as this, before comparing Argentina to Britian. You do not see slums and shanty towns in Britain. Perhaps CFK should spend money on building them proper accomadation and infastructure, instead of purchasing 20 pairs of shoes at a price of around $5,000 USD per pair ($100,000 USD in total equal to 420,900.01 argentine peso's)

Argentina would be better served by a Government that provided money to alleviate poverty instead of wasting it on minting coins to celebrate igniminious defeat.

    What sad and deplorable judgement.

According to CFK the vertical growth of the slums is a sign of the country's success. Shades of 1984 and yet the populous buys it...

As others have pointed out - Its funny how they are quick to condem the UK, yet when the truth about their own country comes out their even quicker at hiding in shame and choosing to ignofre the facts sense it does not tallying with their own false version of facts lol.

Also noticed how us Brits and the islanders are quick to defend the UK or the Islands from negative articles, and put the record straight when it paints a false picture. Yet never have i seen an argentine defend his countries honour, though i heard plenty of them were happy to give up without a fight. Seems the gene responsible for that has been past down to the next generation too ;))

Also no doubt some idiots here will class these high storey buildings as sky scrapers and try arguing their country is better because they have more sky scrapers then the UK, like one such argentine poster tried argueing a few months back lol
