Should not the African Union be given UN Observer Status?
    Should not the organisation of non-aligned states . . . .
    Should not FIFA . . . .

Please tell me if I am wrong, but surely the title United NATIONS refers to a membership of things called NATIONS.

    And

should not Parlasur be the South American UN entity, rather than Unasur? Otherwise, what's the point of Parlasur?

Yes he's right forget and how about the UEFA and all Disney clubs around the world.

The whole UN entity should be abolished. Has anyone else here read the history who, when and why they created this monster?

should not Parlasur be the South American UN entity, rather than Unasur?

No, non should be an UN entity. Unasur is just suppose to be a group of nations cooperating with each other under one name, but if I were a citizen of one of the member nations, I would be worry and critical of that idea of becoming a member of that UN thing and copy the whole EU model what is becoming faster a dictatorial entity than what it was years ago. Unasur part of the UN is more tax money wasted and I believe, I'm not sure because i do not know, it's unconstituional in the nations of the unasur club.

Otherwise, what's the point of Parlasur?
Is there a Parlasur? did people in those nations who are a member of the unasur club, voted for that direct, indirect or not all voted for it?

    My mistake Fido,
The Mercosur Parliament , Parlasur, was established at the 27th Mercosur Heads of States and Governments Summit in December 2004. The institution was inaugurated in December 2006 in Brasilia and the first formal session was held in May 2007 in Montevideo. The Mercosur Parliament initially consisted of eighteen congressional representatives from each of the five countries. In the second phase, from 2010, the representatives are directly elected by secret ballot.

The Parliament's Aim is to contribute to the consolidation of South American integration and the fostering of regional cooperation.
Part of its role will be to establish mechanisms to facilitate the incorporation of Mercosur norms into the laws of the five member states. At present, the Parliament has no direct power other than an advisory committee for the foreign ministers of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Venezuela.
In the long term, the Parliament is intended to help unify legislation in the member nations and foster greater cooperation.

My guess is that with the collapse of Mercosur, Parlasur has been quietly allowed to disintegrate, especially the Venezuelan membership!

As the UN represents 'all humanity' the technology exists for ALL of us to have Observer Status.
It doesn't need CIA stealth planes, just a bog-standard TV camera and monitor.
This would enable ALL people to see what our lords & masters/ representatives of the people are saying on our behalf.

    Now, wouldn't that be fun!

“Yes he's right forget and how about the UEFA and all Disney clubs around the world.”

Haha, nice. Perhaps the organization behind Eurovision should be a UN member as well.

Better still - the organising committee of Miss World.

Or would we have to be PC and have the OC for Mr Universe also?
No, I guess not - the rest of the universe is beyond the remit of the UN.
