What a prat. I'm sure UCT students saw straight through his lies. It's one of the best universities in South Africa and a damned side better than any Argie university. UCT is more than 100 places higher in the QS rankings than the highest Argie university, UBA.

What a liar, Arguello is. He isn't mis-informed, he knows that he sprouts lies.
l don't think that we're doing enough to counter Argentina's lying diplomacy.
    FCO, over to you.

Are these fish swimming from Argentina to the fresher waters around the Falklands?

It looks like he is becoming more honest and will eventually concede that it is he and his countrymen that want to steal Falklands resources.

But Filippo, I thought you were Italian (and a failed Canadian immigrant). Argüello is a Spanish surname, so how could you possibly be related?

Oh, and how can the Falkland Islanders steal their own fish? You are very odd...

Filippo- all is now revealed- if this clot is related to you - then that explains why everytime he opens his mouth a string of lies and bullshit falls out!
Who cancelled some years ago the South Atlantic Fisheries Meetings?
Who since then has refused to co-operate with joint studies and surveys of Fish Stocks in the South West Atlantic?
Who has deliberatley sent vessels to sea to fish for immature juvenile squid on the high seas early in the year to deliberatley damage stock levels?
Who tries to stop representatives from the Islands Fisheries from attending International Fishies Conventions where Stock levels and Birdlife accidental catch issues are discussed and agreed?

You will find the answer to ALL the above is Argentina.

Who has developed a world class mitigation level that has reduced accidental Albatross mortality to virtually zero? - Answer - Falkland Islands.

Who does NOT control and who does NOT receive income from the Fisheries? - Answer is UK.

Who is the dumb plonker in the South West Atlanitic? - answer =ARGENTINA

The Muppet lie monger is at again. The whole world knows that Argentina has nothing for the British to steal. And could someone please tell me where the heck the Malvinas are I keep on hearing about them but am at a loss as to where they are.

Make no mistake, the fish are loyally British or they'd swim in what are undeniably Argentine waters .

No, no. The fish are being held hostage by the viscious imperialist English.
Any attempt that they would make to flee to the safety of the workers paradise that is Argentine waters would be stopped by the ships of the Royal Navy.

Talking about shooting fish in a mixed metaphor...

Breaking news - a man reported to be Jorge Argüello has been arrested in Falkland waters by HMS London.

Reports suggest he was drunk at the time and in the company of several naked men on his personal yacht...

“...they are after our oil and our minerals.” ?? Just curious, but what “minerals” do the Falklands have that anyone wants. I have not read of any gold or silver that Argentina would want!!

Some say, if the British government sits back and allows this argentine government idiot, get away with such blatant lies, then he will continue
To do so, and people –governments -and the world, will continue to listen,

The British government has the power to bring this man to an internatitional court to prove the blatant insulting lies,
As this is flagrant defamation and inflammatory, insulting lies,

But alas, as long as he is allowed to peddle this on the world stage, he will continue to do so,
But Cameron has other interests at the moment, peddling his own problems .

Yes, the British government prefers the quietly, quietly approach, an approach to international affairs proved to be disastrous, not least in the lead up to Falklands War but for the 40 years before and the almost 30 years since. It's not likely to chance anytime soon.

In order to work for the Foreign and Commonwealth office you need an old school tie and a former fag master who knew you intimately on the inside! This just about sums up the system and why it is full of morons! Cameron and his hooray Henry's never had to fight for anything in their lives, which is why they're so soft in the head.

The third world is inhabited by Argüello's just waiting for their moment in the spotlight. Mugabe was another one, the Foreign office chose to ignore, fearful of the repercussions for 60,000 British subjects and their dependents in Zimbabwe, today that figure is three times the entire white population of that country, most having left, along with half of the rest of that countries population! Their property and possessions now in the hands of Air Chief Marshals, Generals, ZANU apparatchiks, their family members, Mugabe family members, quite a lot of the land is now owned by Grace Mugabe. Western multinations love buying from Grace, they get things at knock down price, she pays the farm labour 10 % of what they used to get!

While the UK continues to pander to the US and the EU, we are all - like it or not - going to suffer big time - from the likes of petty minded fascists like this turnip faced overweight nancie boy Argüello.

While we send troops to help America secure its world hegemony in unwinnable wars, in places we know better than to send them, we're on a slippery slop. While our banks give themselves higher wages, while their business strategies destroy the economy, we are going to find the country under ever greater miss management! Personally I like all these failed bankers to **** off out of the country. I'd then replace them with some co

Um, not any more. Public school boys and Oxbridge are positively discriminated against. They do not fit the profile. Times are changing on that front but it will take a while for the new recruits to move through the ranks.

They make a lot of noise on these type of things but for some strange reason - rather remarkably - nothing ever seems to change much.

Take the Army's officer corps for example - almost 100% public school - it would seem to have taken a step back from the 1980's even....

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0153b0n

I'm not convinced that any of our other government institutions have changed either.

But lets hope you are right and more to the point, let us hope that at some point very soon the UK government has a reality check and starts dealing with some of the lies and propaganda being pumped out about it by the Argentine government and media to the rest of South America.

she will get what she least expects, when she least expect it .

I've tried pointing this out to you - The Guardian is only read by wet, drugged up, pinko hippies and co-habiting same sex couples!

The people who write for it get paid by the above, who usually work for the only employer willing to give them a job... local governments! They also have an axe to grind on the Falklands... Thatcher... they hate her more than a Nazi hates a Jew. They blame the Falklands War for Thatcher and getting rid of the Falklands, the way Thatcher got rid of the miners is kind of revenge.

I'm not a Thatcher fan myself, I was 11 at the time the Falklands was invaded and even I knew it was coming! The governments intransigence at the time was nothing more than AMAZINGLY STUPID!

You like the coward Mr Preston then Marcos ,he would make a good Argie

. The paper eventually complied with a court order to hand over the documents to the authorities, which resulted in a six-month prison sentence for Tisdall,[26] though she served only four. “I still blame myself”, said Peter Preston who was the editor of The Guardian at the time, but he went on to argue that the paper had no choice because it “believed in the rule of law”.[27]

A source of great regretPeter Preston edited the Guardian when Foreign Office clerk Sarah Tisdall was jailed for leaking secrets. He explains why he strongly believes that journalists must put pragmatism before principle

The real thieves are the Peronists. Now that Tony Soprano (CFK and friends) run the country nail anything of value down or get it out of the country as fast as possible. Peronism is dangerous to your health and wealth. The mining industry is finding out the hard way.

You Know it is quite amusing to hear the Argentines say that Britain and the Islanders are stealing their fish and oil. There is an old saying the real truth will eventually come out. The real truth hear is that we Islanders from the beginning of time have alwas said that Argentina's claim of our country is not based on geological location but on their desire to own what we have long known exists beneath our soverign soil. OIL. For over a hundred years this has been the thorn in the side of our grumpy neighbours. They thought in 1982 no one would give a damb when they invaded and they thought then now we have the OIL. But dictators seldom stay around long enough to enjoy it as we see more and more in the world how people are now rising up and removing them. The long term asnswer to our situation is that Argentina stops bieng the ruthless dictator and who knows in time they may come to realise that there is more on offer through peacful means then acting like thugs

As a matter of fact the Falklands had been discovered in 1592 by an Englishman and they were later claimed by Britain long , long before the name or Country now called Argentina ever existed. So take your own stolen country and shove it where the sun don't shine because unlike you lot we settled this land under peacefull means. The only connection you think you have with this country is because France alegedly and ilegally sold it to the Spanish WHO after colonising a large piece of South America attempted to give them to the new found eligal Country which we al know as Argentina, Dictators, Liars and strangers to real truth. At least we Falkland Islanders do not lie about who we are or how we arrived hear. Never had to kill an indigenous people to own the land either.
