Oh god dont mention Dowling to the Argentines!!

have you not seen how Argentina somehow made Antonio Rivero (whose sole actions on the islands were to brutally murder several other Argentines for reasons of payment and conditions a few months after britain retook the islands in 1833) into what amounts to a national hero by virtue of him being arrested by the British for his crime?

Jesus Christ, once they catch wind of Dowling's heroic actions of abusing civilians, shoving guns in the faces of toddlers, and then fleeing like a rat when the British task force appeared, they will be putting statues up and composing ballads of his heroism in no time
