The Panamanian government “categorically” rejected Saturday French President Nicolas Sarkozy's “unfair” and “offensive” characterization of the country as a tax haven. “Panama is not a tax haven,” said Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli. Read full article

Sarkozy was simply trying to smokescreen France and the French Banks from the fact that they are effectively bankrupt.
When Greece defaults the French Banks (who hold immense amounts of Greek debt) are going to be down the pan and this little idiot with them.
