The French ambassador in Montevideo, Jean Christophe Potton said that when President Nicholas Sarkozy named Uruguay and ten other countries as ‘fiscal havens’, which could be isolated from the International community, he was speaking in representation of the G20 countries summit in Cannes. @4 briton: No truer words were ever spoken. Those two, Sarkozy and Obama, are in the same league. One wonders where they have their millions stashed away? Both trying to browbeat a small country like Uruguay to do their bidding. I hope Mujica tells them all to piss-off. But, sadly, that probably won't happen. To hell with France, the G-20, the UN and lastly the USA. And, most of all to hell with the New World Order.

It's actually Argentina which has been a major receiver of Uruguayan immigrants. Uruguay is a country of net emigration.
