Disclaimer & comment rulesWow!! Does this mean the Arg peso is worthless outside of Argentina? I think Uruguay was the only other country where you could exchange them. I tried here in the USA and the laughed and said No Thanks.
Nov 16th, 2011 - 01:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0I wonder if Florencia Kirchner, Cristina's daughter, uses the US Dollar in New York where she is having a ball, or the Arg Peso, will the US accept our Arg Peso?
Nov 16th, 2011 - 03:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0You cannot buy or sell Argentine pesos to banks in the UK. They don't want them. However a few years ago I was in the US, Washington DC, and bought some Argentine pesos ahead of a trip south.
Nov 16th, 2011 - 08:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0This is not good news. I have found the US dollar is most sought after when I travel around Argentina. I have been offered considerable discounts if I pay in dollars cash many times (I resisted). But I have had to pay for some accommodation by paying money directly into a foreign bank account because there was no alternative.
lts bad when no one likes your currency. Even worse when your country doesn't want its own currency back.

All you do is trolling against Argentina. get a life.
Hello to the people of Uruguay. Do you remember a couple of days ago I asked who was running your country? So now you're letting Argentines into your country, letting them pay in their own currency and then they won't meet their debts. Is this a surprise? Argentines don't pay debts. Would you like to re-think who your friends might be?
Nov 16th, 2011 - 06:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0perhaps argentina should just, pesos then ?
Nov 16th, 2011 - 08:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@#6 Haters?? No mate they not haters, there people some i believe argentine themselves that posted before your post, that have woken up and relised what is actually happening. Your currency is on the road to becoming worthless, your annual inflation is actually around 25% and is expected to be close to 30% when the annual figures are annouced for this year. Your heading in the same direction as zimbabwe did just like i have said on this site many times now.
