@ 1 hi, I'm an Argie, and I do really think that the islands belong to the falklanders, you can also drown in the cold waters of the South Atlantic, I don't really care, but I love the fact that the Malvinists have made you a paranoid, anxious and excited just like them. It's funny how easy it's for the Malvinists to make people stupid like in your case. Do you live a life of your own or you spend your time thinking about the Argies? have you had your double dose of Argie semen today?

@3 Are WE ready for it? You jest. I trust that you carefully read and took on board the various descriptions of your country? Just look. “But in the late 1940s the unscrupulous General Juan Peron placed the 'Islas Malvinas' at the heart of the history and geography curriculum of every Argentine school. He began the process of brainwashing that culminated in the islands becoming a kind of national G Spot – stimulated by every shady politician and strongman since.” So your educational system is brainwashing and your president is a shady politician. Is CFK still coining it? I see that in 2009, the Ks' personal wealth had increased by 572%. ”A preliminary report on the investigation by the Argentine Anti Corruption Office (OA) established that the official figures provided by the Kirchners “don't stack up”. The investigation was suspended by Judge Oyarbide on 30 December, though a week later, Piragini appealed the ruling.“ Any progress on that investigation?

”Educated, civilised people as well as toughs from the slums of the villas miseria (shanty towns) encircling the city screamed and sang hysterically with glee. They knew full well that Galtieri was a brutal alcoholic ruling alongside some of the most sinister moustachioed types ever to infest a military junta. They knew that they had killed and tortured thousands to stay in office and that some of their victims were drugged and thrown - while still alive - from aircraft far out to sea. But still they cheered.” No change there then, is there? Still intent on your corrupt, brutal, brainwashed objectives.

Don't forget that your currency is only worth one millionth of what it was worth 40 years ago. And you still have lots of debts to pay off. And those subsidies you are used to are coming to an end.

Are we up for it? Our GDP is several times yours. Our credit rating is one you can only dream of. You bet we're up for it. Get used to the idea of poverty. I suggest you figure out where CFK keeps her dustbins.

Not popular on the out side, but revered on the inside,
A very clever and devious woman,
The use of charm and gentle persuasions, is not wasted,
She know very well, that what she cant get by military action,
Can be obtained by deception charm and sophistication
She has been schooled very well,
I predict that anyone who thinks she is a fool, would do well to watch their backs,
This is one woman who is obsessed and dead bent on getting what she wants,
She thinks nothing of the British or the islanders,
[Personally I don’t like or trust her]
But then do you think that worries her.??

Funny how we're so bankrupt that we recently commission a new Type 45 Destroyer that costs £1 Billion, thats more than half of the Argentine Military Budget on one ship.

Jeez, we're so obviously broke we continue to build another five of them, and the new submarines, and the new Aircraft Carriers, I can't wait until we're flush with money, just think of what we could build and launch then?

So you guys launch your primitive diesel submarines and feel proud about it, but don't look at what we're up to, because when you see what we're launching you'll cry a river.

The difference is your economy is tiny by comparison, Argentina only has a total of £238 Billion per annum to spend on everything for 40 Million RGs.

In the UK we spend £90.6 Billion a year on Education, £21.1 Billion on Transport, and £121.3 Billion on Health Care; and just £45.5 Billion on Defence for 60 Million Brits.

Yes we're proud of our military, they beat you lot didn't they? As our military is more successful, and actually wins, we spend more money on it.

Unfortunately for you, your country would sooner raise the white flag and break the Geneva Convention whilst doing so. Therefore, to reflect your crappy military, your Defence spending is only £1.7 Billion, and is forecast to rise to £3.5 Billion by 2015.

The figures alone prove you're a crappy third rate country, with ideas above your place, run along child.

@18 Malvinero1 your sh*tting me right ? you'could' have ? In the falklands war ? A bunch of boys, that didnt even want to fight that stupid conquest, did no more than hide, run or fight very badly with the little training they received. Even your 'legendary' marines , were beaten off quite easily. There is something that you underestimate in the British. Something that many have underestimated and regretted it extremely. We Brits do not like losing. We are a proud nation , and we fight damn hard for our rights, and in this case people who rely on us ; the Falklanders. If we defeated Nazi Germany, and revolutionary France, i hardly believe that Argentina, even with its recent 'flourish' as a country will stand a chance. You are in no way in a position to discredit us as a failing country just yet...there is plenty of roar left in the British lion.....

@26. British material losses were far greater than Argentina's - cost wise. I am glad you are proud of your military accomplishments but the reason why Nazi Germany was defeated was mostly because of the United States. Churchill was pissing his pants and crying for the US to intervene every step of the way. And the reason why GB wasn't conquered in that war and in many others is because of their geographical nature.

Additionally, not only did Argentina do far more than GB considering the technological and military gap, but the UK was once again aided by Chile and the United States. Many Argentine elite troops had to be stationed at the border with Chile fearing an opportunistic attack from that nation. Thatcher even sent nuclear weaponry to the south atlantic and the only logical reason for that was that there were founded fears that you might have lost.

The UK has been a US puppet government for the duration of the 20th century and it continues today.

for more information on the war, and how it came close to a very different outcome i suggest you watch any documentary about it.

#26 Yes, there were serious problems with the logistics and with the equipment but, there's always a but isn't there? presumably your commando force is considered 'elite' - why did they lose so badly? Yes, we suffered losses but overcame a force twice as large in certain areas. The real success was your air force (up to a point) when the shot the place to bits quite frankly, pity they dropped their bombs too low for them to arm - basic error that AND your pilots couldn't cope with the machine guns that put tracers up - they dropped the bombs too soon! It was only the 'slow' Harriers using their superior airmanship and jinking up as the Mirages came within range that showed the weakness of fast jets in that situation. The real failures though were your navy and particularly your submarines. Not suprising really when one torpedo didn't leave the tube and all the others that managed to leave (4 was it?) NOT one hit the target. Do you know why? One of the sub-base technicians who rewired the tubes cross-connected the polarity of the DC supply which spun up the gyros of the torpedos SO THEY RAN BACKWARDS. Once the topedo was fired and the gimble lock on the gyro released, it immediately inverted itself and went in the opposite direction to the set point. Your subs were immasculated by your own people - what a bunch of pratts.
Of course everything is different now. Your old Mk3s and 5 Mirages are falling out of the skies due to airframe fatigue, killing your pilots. The 4 Typhoons based at the Falklands would probably kill ALL your Mirages in one dogfight, the Mirage being very outdated now.
    And don't forget Trident!

    We appreciate
That your modern day pilots train on Brazilian carriers,
But considering you do not have your own, then what is the point,
Keeps your hand in I suppose,
But you still wont beat the Euro fighter
Plus of course the royal navy’s astute submarines probably the most advanced and powerful sub in the world, can sink the carrier from over a thousand miles away,
Perhaps you best keep to talking
    .

    Troneas,

Nuclear weapons were not deployed, the ships sailed with them on board, as they were part of their normal war load for NATO duties, they were removed at Ascension and returned to the UK. They did not enter the conflict zone.

That Chile deployed troops on its borders was because Argentina threatened that once finished in the Falklands, Chile would be next and the Beagle Channel dispute resolved by force of arms.

Remember the Beagle Channel dispute? Where Argentina claimed islands that were Chilean, after it decided to reinterpret a boundary treaty in its favour. A case it lost, twice, becauase Argentine maps before the dispute showed the islands as Chilean (the same maps that show the Falklands as “foreign territory”.....

So all in all, basically your own fault.

In many case, Argentine weaponry on the Falklands was superior to what the British Army had.

    Examples

155 mm guns vs 105 mm guns
    FN FAL vs SLR
Argentine night vision was also better than what the British had

Argentina lost a land campaign with a 2:1 superiority in numbers.

IT lost against a British Army fighting on its own, yes America supplied weapons but you had a 5:1 superiority in fast jets and were flying from land bases against 20 or so Sea Harriers on 2 small carriers.

In a war where Argentina held all the aces, it lost to a superior fighting force.

@28 i suggest that YOU watch a bloody documentary on the second world war, as your comments seem very uneducated. We had eliminated the threat of invasion by means far greater than our geographical advantage. You can not put that down simply to why no one has conquered us. Did our island stop Robert clive and his 3000 men defeated an army of 60000 ? Or the battle of Trafalgar, our geographical position helped Nelson defeat a numerically superior Franco-Spanish fleet and effectively destroy the threat of invasion from Napoleon .You geographical argument is an appalling one .And Churchill p*ssing his pants, crying for the US to intervene. ? Wipe you mouth out son, of course he wanted the extra few million troops aiding him , as that would mean far less casualties for the Brits.Read up on the second world war, and you will find that we had plans to fight even without the yanks. We had defeated Rommel in Africa, and were stepping up SOE operations in preparation for a possible invasion into Italy or the southern areas of France. Argentine seem to be doing the most 'crying' and 'winging' to every country that can tolerate listening to it, right now. I do not need to watch any documentaries, as i have read much about the conflict, and can conclude from it that it was a classic case of quality over quantity. The material losses that we suffered were cause mainly from a weapon that we had co-developed ourselves, so you should probably thank us for that.Nuclear weapons were aboard in a clever ploy to get the French to tell us the codes to disarm your missiles.I suggest that you go to a book shop and purchase a book on WW2, and learn of the feats Britain had accomplished like the development of RADAR, the breaking of the enigma code, the SAS operations, the SOE operations and much more. Then i think you may be that bit more intelligent and educated on the matter that i think i could hold a respectable debate with you.You may also need to read up on the Falklands' history......

“British material losses were far greater than Argentina's - cost wise. ”

You lost the islands. You lost.

“United States. Churchill was pissing his pants and crying for the US to intervene every step of the way”

Actually, Hitler had already been told an invasion of the UK was a military impossibility because they lost the Battle of Britain, They had no air superiority and the worlds largest navy inbetween france and the UK. This was before the US got involved.

“Additionally, not only did Argentina do far more than GB considering the technological and military gap, ”

There wasn't a technology gap. Again, do some research. Much of Argentina's equipment was newer at the time.

“but the UK was once again aided by Chile and the United States. Many Argentine elite troops had to be stationed at the border with Chile fearing an opportunistic attack from that nation. ”

Those “Elite” troops you guys always bang on about would not have helped you. Your troops were cut off from Argentina. They had no supplies. People die when they run out of food and ammunition.

“Thatcher even sent nuclear weaponry to the south atlantic and the only logical reason for that was that there were founded fears that you might have lost. ”

Again, do your research. They were nuclear depth charges, Used for killing subs, not citys.
