If Obama cares so much about guarding democracy against authoritarian attacks, he shouldn't have signed the awful National Defense Authorization Act - a.k.a., the indefinite detention bill. As Chávez said, Obama should mind his own country's business. I know that many, even those who don't share Chávez's politics, regard Obama a disaster and a buffoon.

“Go after your votes by fulfilling that which you promised your people.”
Even Americans would thank Obama if he did just that.

Chávez is nothing but a tin-pot dictator on a continent full of, at best, flawed democracies.

    Bit of a nut!

Interesting. A clown calling another clown a clown.

    Very funny.

But dismissing people with slogans is, in this case, not a very original or interesting attitude. If your only response is self-righteous mindlessness, you may as well not comment.

    At last a current photograph.

Looks like he has still got serious problems following his treatment for cancer. Typical chemo reaction.

With a bit of luck he will be gone within two years.

mercopress already forgot about Luis Posadas carriles the cuban CIA terrorist who skiped a Venezuelan prison and lives in USA, I am sure Chavez didn't forget and for this reason not only his reaction were predictable but also expected. I guess it all depends on wich side you are on.

“During a video lecture between Havana and Caracas, Perez urged US President Barack Obama to release the satellite images recorded on February 24, 1996, which could help exonerate her husband from the charge of murder in the first degree. That day Cuba´s air force downed two planes of the terrorist organization known as “Brothers to the Rescue” that violated Cuban air space.
Washington refuses to release the satellite images under the pretext that they constitute a threat to US national security, but in fact the United States is hindering a transparent judicial process, Perez denounced”

Politicians, left and right, are clowns.

“Chávez is nothing but a tin-pot dictator on a continent full of, at best, flawed democracies.”

I disagree with Chávez, but he has been chosen by the people of Venezuela. You and I do not like that, but it's not your problem, neither mine. Pay attention to your own government that's ripping you off by their friends the banksters. But oh wait, that's to dark/complex for you to understand. Keep acting like a “warrior” in front of your computer of the falklands/malvinas, where you have never been and can't even afford to visit.

“a continent full of, at best, flawed democracies.”

    Which Continent?
Europe? where they have technocrats, not chosen by the people? Or nations in Europe where they still celebrate “feudelism”?
I can read you have never traveled outside your bubble, what is pathetic, but also understandable since most people know that brits cannot afford it. Most nations in the American continent are Republics, and simply take an example of one nation and paint that view over the area is a great example how closed minded you are. Well actually, you have proven here that you're an imbecile.

For idiot #8, wishing other people ill or death, is ill himself.

“the awful National Defense Authorization Act”
It is amazing that even lamestream media has talked about it, but spins it (as usual) for the viewers (fox, cnn, cnbc etc etc) that's it to “protect” the people.
NDAA: will authorize the US government to use and only the US military to patrol the streets, imprisson US citizens and residents who question the US government political agenda (domestic and foreign), and detain them with no charges, or trial, indefinitely.

Another terrified bill being discussed and all in the name of “protection against terror and piracy”.

Christy isnt it lovely to see Martin Mcguiness deputy first minister its not a bad consolation for missing Thatcher by a metre or so”

------Aah your true colours. So you support terrorism. What a real scumbag you are, How heroic of the IRA to blow up children in shopping centres. I bet that makes you proud though eh? You want the same tactics to be used by Cristina do you? What an absolute a#sehole peace of sh#t you really are.
I think anyone here argentine or otherwise would realise you are one deluded, stupid, arrogant twat.
