Yes, well you are an Argie blogger who regularly uses rhetoric likely to be spotted by the electronic surveillance net that the USA have in place world-wide.

One day you MAY learn that your behaviour is unacceptable to grown up people.

I'd like to know why the US makes it so difficult for Brits to get a Green Card.

Brits who genuinely need a Green Card get one.

As a Brit who worked in the USA 30 years ago I would ask a different question: given the 'Land of the Free' is now really a police state in all but name (all because of 'The War on Terror') why would any Brit WANT a Green Card?

Chris - Completely agree with you that the Land of Democracy is anything but...........However, looking at the current statistics and rules for immigration, Brits are excluded from the Green Card lottery and I stand more chance of being accepted if I change my nationality to Vietnamese!
One good reason for taking a US job would definitely be the taxation, compared to most European (inc UK) countries and another good reason would be any part of the Californian coast from SFO all the way up to Seattle !

I had taken it that you would be sponsered by a company. :o)

I agree about the West Coast but there are other places. If you habla Espanol then try Uruguay in S. America.

Great country, great people, not too costly to live, temperate climate. :o)
