The British Empire was the best ever thing that has happened to the World :-)
    Correct again,
Boy it didn’t take the hate mongers to jump did it, anything that spells anti British, and the kangaroos are at it,

The only point I would concede, are the rumours
Of Tony sell out Blair, and the fact we have a weak government that sadly does not have the intellect to tell Argentina and Spain to sod of or else,
You all heard Obama yesterday, what he said about Americas enemies or those that seek harm to America,
[I don’t like the bloke] but at least he has the guts to speak with power, rather than a feather.
But Spain will get nowhere, [why] because she has already excepted the status quoi,
And Europeans will not allow this to happen, so you argie anti British bloggers are celebrating a century to soon, but still as losers you will claim it as another false victory,
The most that will happen, is the gates will be closed, again,
But you guys would not remember that ,
So brag on children, plays till your hearts content,
After all, these British turnips, have something you don’t have
And Never will have , the British Falklands
I make that British turnips 2 and argie false victories 1,
You lose again, better luck next time . lol

    .

“joke time over” Spanish minister tells Foreign Secretary Hague.

Everybody is claiming something stolen by the Brits:
Argentina claims Malvinas, Spain claims Gibraltar, Greece claims the Elgin Marbles, India claims the Koh i Noor diamond and so on.

    @3 Artillero 601,
    Dago
Originally it wasn't a bad word.
The English word for the Spanish in the 16th century.
lt came from Diego which seemed to be common Spanish name to us.
The Spaniards were also called Dons, because nearly every one seemed to be Don this or Don that.
Now however “dago” means mediterranean peoples, including ltalians, Greeks etc & is not very nice. l try not to use it, myself.
    Like “limey”in the US.
Originally a British sailor, because limes were part of their diet.
To get vitamin C & keep scurvy away. We also used to call our sailors, “limeys”
Now a not very nice word that the Americans use for us.
lf they could only hear what we call them :-)))

With all respects to Spain, and applying this logic... are they also going to end the “joke” in Ceuta and Melilla?

I assume so, in order to maintain consistency, otherwise the “joke time” is not going to stop, but become a running gag...

Ceuta and Melilla are border towns between Spain and Morocco. Gibraltar a spanish city occupied by United Kingdom by a treaty that gives Spain the option of recovering it.

Ceuta and Melilla ”border towns between Spain and Morocco?
    On which map?
I can clearly see them as spanish exclaves on african soil (like Gibraltar being a british exclave on european soil),

Spain is on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea... you want Gibraltar back, then start giving back Ceuta and Melilla to Morroco, they claim rights on it too ;)
