In the best Latin American or European tradition more than 400 anti-Wall Street protesters were arrested in Oakland during a night of violent skirmishes in which police fired tear gas and bean bag projectiles, the city said on Sunday, marking one of the biggest mass arrests since nationwide economic protests began last year.     Occupy Oakland is known as “OO” and it is not at all surprising that this city of soul is so energetic,. Oakland is where the Black Panthers stood up to protect the people from police violence and institutionalized racism. Much new future nation building went on there. Many people in the US know that imperialist pirate capitalism has entered rapid decline and that the military and police are turning inward upon clear thinkers attempting to describe a sustainable human culture at peace with Planet Earth.

    Eye witness participants are saying some people fought back when provoked, the general population knows it cannot confront State violence in support of corporatism directly.

    These clashes are to be expected with increased militarization of US police forces and the strong fascistic direction in which most levels of government, from local to federal, are heading in the USA. Welcome to the Hotel California!

    Unless you live in California, you ought not to be saying that. At least the people in Oakland havd the balls to do what a lot of timid americans won't to try and take back their country from the new elite.

    Oakland is where cointelpro accomplished one of it's stitch up's isn't it.The black panther Geronimo Pratts,wasn't it.The state has new secret bodies now to wield illegal violence against it's own citizens.There's more to capitalism than democracy and history is littered with events of violence against the citizen.That is what 3# is advocating.He's lost his ball and wants anyone but him to pay.Trash,yes
