Feb 06th, 2012 - 07:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0The British sat down with the Diegos and negotiated on 14th June 1982... nothing more to be said really..... OK so the 'negotiation' was a bit one sided but the dagoes did get free boat rides.....

Feb 06th, 2012 - 11:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0Whats the use of sitting down?
We can tell you right to your pretty face & it'll only take a few seconds.
i.e. There will be NO NEGOTIATIONS ABOUT SOVEREIGNTY.
There, that didn't take long, did it?
You did understand, of course?
Thank You♥
Forbidding ?? Strange ! They haven't mentioned it !!
Feb 06th, 2012 - 12:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@1 Strange thing, isn't it? This 'news' was announced by the argie foreign ministry. Not the Commonwealth countries themselves. Policies such as this are normally announced by the actual countries, not a nearby cesspit.
Feb 06th, 2012 - 01:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0As for why MercoPress chose this story, you should ask them. But I reckon that MercoPress decided that the Diamond Jubilee of the British Sovereign was more important than the underhand machinations of some economic disaster area with delusions of grandeur and colonialist imperialism. A couple of tiny Commonwealth countries aren't really relevant. They are independent nations and are entitled to make their own decisions.
It says everything about the difference between Britain and argieland. Argieland runs around the world spreading misinformation and crying Poor us. Look at how nasty Britain is treating us! Meanwhile Britain says You are independent countries responsible for your own decisions in the interests of your people. That's the legacy we left you with. If you want to hear the facts, ask and we'll tell you. And show you the evidence.
In the meantime, if you're going to ask MercoPress about their article choices, perhaps you could also ask them when they are going to commission an investigation and publish an article on the real truth about why argieland doesn't take its claim to the International Court of Justice!
More rubbish by Argentina and her bloggers [some]
Feb 06th, 2012 - 02:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0They just cant stand it, that a tiny island is better, then she is,
Argentina is sadly filled with jealousy rage and envy , and she has her nose out of joint, and she don’t like it,
shame isn’t it lol.
It's true! London is the best place to visit this year. I wish I could go if it wasn't so expensive for 99% of the world population.
Feb 06th, 2012 - 08:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So many countries and societies selling the fruit of their work to the UK (Argentina included), and the middle and high british classes are enjoying this circus...
DOESN'T SOUND FAIR. You can say it is envy... but it is not fair... you can say it is jealousy, but it is still not fair...
Ones working and the others consuming everything, not even caring for pollution and extinguishing of resources...
But I guess you like thinking that it is all about jelousy, not briton? ;)
Monarchies like the british ones have felt so much jealousy about another leaders and societies that they have even stolen foreign peaces of culture. Visit the BRITISH MUSEUM...
@ 9 .. at least the Greeks know where their marbles are.... The RGs have lost theirs and aren't even aware of the fact.......

Allow me,
If you think Britain is full of middle class and rich, then you are sadly wrong,
We have millions of working class people, I should know,
But if you think food is expensive only for foreigners, then you should come and look, we have to live here as well, dear for you/dear for us, does that help,
And of course you are jealous and envious, its only natural is it not,
Please don’t be nasty to the royals, they have done nothing to you, and this only confirms your jealous and envy does it not,
But hey, why not become British, no more envy, no more jealously
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm worth a thought,
Dear Editor doesn’t matter how many posts you are willing to remove because that will not change my/our mind about what we think about colonialist people.
Feb 06th, 2012 - 09:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Your actions as editor just only show us Merco press position what clearly is in favour to the BM.

Feb 06th, 2012 - 11:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0UN on Malvinas: UK is the colonialist
While London accuses Argentina of colonialism, a look at the history and the international law shows Britain has always been a notorious colonizer whose dark practice persists in the present.
Last week, British Prime Minister David Cameron lashed out at Argentina for a “colonial” attitude on the South Atlantic Malvinas islands (the Falklands), which the British illegally occupied in 1833.
However, according to the United Nations' Special Committee on Decolonization, which is in charge of implementing the Declaration on Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, Britain has colonized the islands along with nine other territories, and should return them to its true owners.
Moreover, the committee's list of colonies contains only 16 entries, ten of which -- Bermuda, Malvinas, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands, Gibraltar, Pitcairn and Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha -- are colonized by Britain.
Earlier this week, Argentine president Cristina Kirchner answered Cameron's accusations referering to the very UN list of colonies awaiting liberation.
The United Nations Committee on Decolonization has 16 cases open on places that remain colonies, of which 10 are British colonies, and one of the best known is our beloved Malvinas islands, she said.
Kirchner also stressed Buenos Aires will continue its “diplomatic” efforts to secure the British withdrawal from the Malvinas.
However, British officials have in their latest comments accused Argentina of “saber-rattling” on the islands, threatening Buenos Aires with a military response.

Feb 06th, 2012 - 11:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Come my friend, we are not perfect, but sometimes you guys believe very much untruths,
[shows Britain has always been a notorious colonizer whose dark practice persists in the present.]
[ do you really believe that Britain is trying to take over some countries,]
That very so not true,
[][Last week, British Prime Minister David Cameron lashed out at Argentina[][
Facts , Argentina had for months been accusing and insulting Britain, David merely said one word,, now be fair here …
[][Malvinas does not exist, and the treaties of 1849/50 in which Argentina signed was to end all of this, until Argentina got fed up and broke it, did she not, so be fairer here again ..
[][However, according to the United Nations' Special Committee on Decolonization, , Britain has colonized the islands along with nine other territories, and should return them to its true owners
Fact,, some are to small to be left alone, some got their independence, but some wanted to remain British, and what is wrong with that, the Falklands wants independence, but your country would annex it almost immediately , is this not so ..
[][However, British officials have in their latest comments accused Argentina of “saber-rattling” on the islands, threatening Buenos Aires with a military response,,
[again not true, why do you believe such rubbish, we only send the ships on routine patrol and for protection and nothing else, as we also sent ships to the west Indies , Mediterranean sea , pacific and other places, why then don’t other countries think they are being threatened,
As for UN list of colonies awaiting liberation, please name me one, just one of these so called countries, that demands liberation and Britain has refused,,,,
.
@14DanyBerger,
Feb 07th, 2012 - 11:03 am - Link - Report abuse 01) Fact.
Your country has no rights to the Falklands, no matter what you say.
2)Fact.
Your country wants to take over the Falklands.
(Even though, they have NO RIGHT & the people there DO NOT want to be part of Argentina)
Therefore:-
3) Fact.
Argentina is a colonial nation.
You are implanted colonialists whether you like it or not.
Tough bananas if you don't like it♥
Dear Isolde
Feb 07th, 2012 - 01:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 01- Do I know you?
2- Why do you think Argentina is my country in the first place?
3- You cannot cheat Europeans have you noted that?
4- Try to be a little bit smart next time before assuming things too fast.
5- Argentina colonial nation???? Are you smoking hash?
MA never learn the lesson what can we do?
: )
Hugo Chavez, the socialist president of Venezuela, has said “Venezuelan troops would fight alongside Argentina in any future conflict over the Falkland Islands.”
Feb 07th, 2012 - 07:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The statement was made by Chavez during a meeting of the eight member states of the Bolivian Alliance (ALBA) when they met to “approve an agreement barring any boats flying Falkland Islands flags from docking in their ports.”
http://www.hmforces.co.uk/armed_forces_news/articles/10273-venezuelan-president-we-will-fight-with-argentina-over-the-falklands
when will it stop
when will you learn
.you see how they ratch it up, then they will claim the victim
@17 DanyBerger,
Feb 07th, 2012 - 11:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 01) Possibly.
2) Don't know or care which country you are from, but you support Argentina so that puts you on the other side of the fence.
3) l have never cheated anyone, Europeans or anyone else.
4) Refer item #2.
5) Argentina IS a colonial nation. Just because you don't want it to be does not make it so.
List of Argentina's colonies:-
1) Patagonia, conquered in the 1880's after slaughtering the native inhabitants.(btw- the British were in Patagonia BEFORE the Argentines!).
2) The land that Argentina STOLE from Paraguay after the War of the Triple Alliance in 1871.
Land that Argentina WANTS to colonise:-
1) The Falkland lslands.
2) South Georgia & the South Sandwich lslands.
3) British Antarctic Territories(claimed by Britain in 1908, Argentine claim 1942, when they thought that we would lose WWII).
4) Parts of Chile(the junta openly said to Chile, after the Falklands, you're next).
So DanyBerger, can you now see why Argentina is a colonialist power.
They are frustrated on their road to empire.
Then of course you have to come out with the personal insults(hash!)
How very Argentine.
RAISE THE FLAG, The queen's birthday. The queen needs more money, bent over for your feudel german queen and enjoy more austerity measures...chumps.
Feb 08th, 2012 - 03:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0@Dear Isolde you are very funny have you ever noted that?
Feb 08th, 2012 - 08:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0By the way you write, I assume you are not even British. Anyway your arguments seem to be from an angry child. How old are you? Just wonder I don’t want to spend my time debating with a 10 years old boy keyboard warrior.
See you later : )
@21DanyBerger,
Feb 08th, 2012 - 10:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Thank you, never considered myself as a comedian. Might take it up.
You never refuted any of my points. l guess you couldn't.
You assume far too much, señor.
Just take ONE of my points,
Do you deny that Argentina murdered thousands of native peoples in The Conquest of the Desert in the 1880's then stole their land?
lt is now Patagonia.
No beating about the bush, no procastrination, a simple yes or a no will suffice.
Just to help your decision,
if you say yes then you are admitting that Argentina's ancestors are murderers & thieves.
if you say no then you are either mis-informed or a liar.
Can you do this simple thing for me please?
Remember, no personal insults, just the truth. Thank you♥

Along with the Queen of the Netherlands, they would probably be the richest women on the planet.
They both have a share of Shell Petroleum.
They don't need your few Guilders, Mynheer. Save up for a week, so you can get drunk on saturday night & forget about the pain from your bad teeth!
