No surprise at all. ... and to also use the poor families of their brave war dead as pawns in this game. It's bad enough that Argentina has insisted on keeping their graves thousands of miles away from home but now to also build up the hopes of those poor NOK. They were given the impression that something special was going to be announced on Tuesday night, but only to be locked out of the Pink House and then have the police set upon them to finish the night off. Class act you lunatic.
Let's hope that she at least keeps her promise to invest more money into the mental treatment of veterans.

Not only are many of the soldiers' bodies buried thousands of miles from home but their families are nothing more than political pawns in a crazy game.
Tell you when the nuclear submarine arrives in the South Atlantic? You know it doesn't work that way so sorry to spoil your fun. Most likely there's been one down there for years.. I saw one within the past few years. Can't quite remember when but there it was. I also can't remember whether she was nuclear or not either. Not that it would make much difference. I mean it would be like trying to decide whether to send Manchester City's first eleven or second eleven in to play a match against the Reading under 13 side.
Not that the UK has an aggressive military stance in the South Atlantic anyway. It's purely precautionary defence like it has be for 29 and a bit years.
If their best sub HMS Astute got stuck in their own waters I can wait to see it in the shallow waters of Rio De LaPlata, we can walk to meet Cameron in person soon that he sticks his fat head out..help Cristina!

I couldn't work out what that would be and obviously neither could she. I knew she wouldn't be foolish enough to see through her threat to stop LAN. That would've only affected your country in the long run. Sure, we would've had to find another source of excellent and loyal immigrant workers but we would've. Also, CFK must have enough sources of intelligence to know that our alternative plan to LAN is at a pretty mature stage now. Forcing LAN to stop from this point will only lead to a position of more strength and independence now. Sure, a little bit of pain for 6 - 12 months but nothing more.
She obviously couldn't announce any sort of military response. Well, she just couldn't. Period.
Also, she obviously wasn't going to announce that she truly wants to give peace a chance and was therefore stopping her rhetoric and handing out an olive branch. She's too committed to this course of action and her domestic situation is too dire to stop the distraction.

The Chilean news channels were pretty certain her show speech would include something about the LAN flight. Maybe her ill-timed announcement regarding import restrictions scuppered her plans by alienating the Chilean government. More likely this was just a performance to distract from other restriction announcements. I don't think CFKChavez is capable of looking at the bigger picture.

Firstly, leaving their dead bodies in graves thousands of miles from home and then using their families as pawns from 1982 right through and continuing onwards past 2012.
I was on a LAN flight with a plane load of war dead families that landed in Rio Gellegos one year. This was back in CFK's hubby's day. The poor families were just trying to get home after a week of mixed emotions but the big man himself had decided to throw a welcoming reception for them there at the airport. Big brass band, military brass and TV crews everywhere you looked. The families were treated as special for about 10 minutes and then dumped like rotten eggs. On the news that night it looked like they were treated like royalty but the reality was that they looked shell-shocked and were terribly exploited.
Well, Argentinean president ask for peace to the English, their president answer:more warships, their newspaper in Malvinas call her“bitch”.

The best thing Argentina could do is support the islanders and stop with the bullying, harassment and shameless lying over history. Over time the islanders could come to accept Argentina and if they did then they could eventually become Argentine but through choice since Argentina clearly is in no position to force them to do anything they do not want to do with British might behind them.
If CFK really wants peace then she needs to stop causing conflict with her rhetoric and trying to stir up bad feeling against the UK and the islanders.
Complaining to the UN is less than worthless for instance since the UK sits on the security council, reviews the complaint and can veto anything that suits it. Its a shameless action that is another press stunt to deflect attention away from the countries problems.

Equally, ARA General Belgrano's captain made a mistake in 1982. Remember what happened to his ship? Also HMS Astute will never need to enter the Rio de la Plata. At the end of the day, would Britain accept defeat or use its Trident D5 nuclear missiles? What an interesting question. Why not go to bed and think about how you'd like to melt?

I would also like to see those who claim “self-determination” of an implanted population by the UK in a seized land defending self-determination of Palestina, claiming self-determination for Afghanistan or Irak in the moment these societies were not allowed to grow and be independent by the little group of warriors represented by Mr. Bush.
I would also like to see them complaining about the Monetary Fund and the World Bank and the European Central Bank as responsibles for crisis.
I would also like to see them defending the islands from oil companies that will put the zone in a huge enviromental risk.
I would like to see them saying that those brits that work the whole day with taxes they pay are the ones supporting this unnecessary militarization the same way they supported the wars against “terrorism” that brought nothing but more fear and unsecurity to the world.
A european military force in Southamerica like the british one, guilty of so many crimes and massacres is not ok for latinamericans,, we don't want it, we don't like it and it is bad for the security in this side of the world, we have no colonial ambitions, in fact we were born fighting against colonialism, that is part of Europe's history, the story of a continent where the strong ones invade the weak ones, in war, or in the disguise of a European Union.
The British Army is guilty of so many disasters, they invaded Buenos Aires in the past also, they even colonialized Argentina in a commercial way after we got independence from Spain.

Clearly, Malvinas is Argentine, claim exist since before Argentina exist. This is well documented that we renounce claim in 1850 but claim was resurrected under Peron who traveled to Italy and adopted policies of Mussolini fascist party in order to make Argentina great nation that it became.
As part of expanded living space, we must continue this policy and we must take over Terra del Fuego and Beagle Channel and then Malvinas.
My grandfather while working for Intelligence visit Indonesia in 1976 to copy plans they used for invasion of Portuguese East Timor and removal of colonial population to be copied in invasion of Malvinas.
If we had copied these plans our invasion would be success and like East Timor is part of Indonesia, Malvinas would now be part of Argentina. World has very short memory.

We know Malvinas never been under Argentine sovereignty but gifted to us by Papal Bull in 1496. No one can argue with Pope or God, that whole of South America given by him to Spain.
Go home colonial pirates w claim you land before our country exist, you can not argue with that. You live there almost 200 years illegally, you have no rights. We will own your homes, farms, businesses, oil and fish.
You will be made to speak Spanish, drive on right, obey our laws, live under our government and governor. In return we give you right to be reborn like our national hero James Peck.
James Peck is son of Malvinas War traitor Terry Peck, he was awarded MBE for helping British occupy our land. Unlike his father, James is brave, patriot, his father will be turning in his grave.

It should be compulsory education in Argentine schools to learn about their country recent history, instead of teaching lies about the Falkland Islands (the imaginary Malvinas - which Argentina has NEVER had sovereignty over).

Unborn babies ripped out of their mothers wombs, young children taken from their parents, who were murdered by the heroic Argentine military.

Is the world going mad?! Argentinians are bonkers. Sovereignties of countries have changed a lot over thousands of years, through a lot of fighting and some diplomacy but if you go back far enough then most countries will have been occupied by another country. The Falklands may well have been populated by people from the area/ country that now callls itself Argentina but at some point in the past this was changed for a British population. In the past the population of South America was native South Americans, which was replaced by Spaniards, they made borders and called them various countries including Argentina. In the past Europeans replaced the population of North America. The Falklands is far from a unique situation and the fact that the majority of Argentinians are descendants of colonial Spain, the hypocracy astounds me. Just becuase Argentina is close to the Falklands doesn't give Argentina the right to the island's sovereignty just as England being 40km away from France doesn't give France the right to England's soverignty. Proximity has nothing to do with it. Is Argentinia going to ask Chile, Paraguay, Brazil or any of the countries they border with to give up their sovereignty to them, just because they are close? Are Argentinians going to push for talks with the remaining native South Americans to allow them to regain sovereignty that the Spaniards took away from them? Is Sean Penn the massive hypocrite going to push for negotiations for the US goverment to give back the US to the native North Americans? Of course not! It's so hypocritical, things have happened and its in the past, Argentina don't have any rights to the falklands, sovereignty has changed just like in many other countries including Argentina! To top it all off the Islanders don't want Argentina and it's their right not to, you Malvinistas don't have an argument! Stop wasting your breath!
