just another proof of how incomptent Argentine politicians are...
that country is going really downhill. Nobody believes that country anymore..apart from some local ignorants offcourse.. There are very few investments, a lot of complaints of commercial injustice, mercosur is a joke, well CFK, you will be the Queen that will wreck the ship in a glorious incometent way... its just a matter of time that will happen... they can postpone it a bit by those non automatic import licences...but thats a matter of time all imports are subsitituted with more expensive argentine products and then.. its over and out as there is nothing to steal or substitute anymore : pension funds, imports, oil, gas, all will be nationalised and NO investors will be there to blame... offcourse, that will be the blame : foreign investors... She might be big in Argentina but CFK woulnd not even get a an assistent job in EU politics, its amazing how incompetent people can become president in certain countries. Its says more about the civilians of that country then something else.

I completely agree with the above comment. This is yet another example of how blatantly incompetent Argentinians can be -both the government and those who elect them. This must be one of most ignorant people when it comes to decide what is good for their own country. But then... one must not forget the innate arrogance of the typical Argentinian. Especially in regards to matters concerning Uruguay, a country that they have always looked upon as a “province”, rather than as a sovereign nation whose example they would do well to follow.

I thought the Argentines wanted it to be highly polluting so they had something else to complain about.

Do you know “1 voto por un choripan” or “choripanes para todos”? It gives you a hint how she arrived there. Most of the middle class and upper class won't vote for this kind of peronism unless they have a business with them or the opposition is really crappy.

We the real Argentine's support CFK, this is why we elected her twice and she will be elected again if we have between the militaty, menem, de la rua or maccri to choose from, CFK is above all of them, british illegal aliens should give it a break and go back to UK while they are still alive, we will push Argentina to protect our people and land even if we have to build a nuclear defence program to end the illegal occupation of Islas Malvinas Argentina, this nuclear armed terrorists deserve to be exterminated. time for Argentina to draw laws to make it legal to persecute and execute terrorists, pirates, armed illegal aliens and anarchists, USA used this laws to murder Gaddafi, Argentina should use the same strategy to hunt this anarchists. a good start would be to pass laws considering all british person non-grata as USA and Canada did in the ww2 sending chinese or japanese civilians to concentration camps for the duration of the war, today we enjoy CN rails thanks to slave labour and the camps.

Can't Uruguay just build a big wall or something? Just a massive long wall, where they can just not have to talk to the people on the other side ever again. Maybe with a big sign saying 'just leave us alone'.. leaving the miserable Argies to their sulking petulance ad finitum.

Tell me where do Cristina takes the most votes and where the opposition does. It's pretty clear.

And BTW, that kind of violence is not the way.

we all know that it was never about pollution, but about being sore losers regarding getting the contract of the pulp mill on their (argentinian) side...

If it was about pollution, they would have gone protesting about one of the most polluted rivers of Latinamerica (an probably the whole World)
    The “Riachuelo” in Buenos Aires.

This same company had settled-down in Spain and left a disaster in the town Pontevedra. There were a lot of political factors in this conflict, but there were also big reasons to be careful about the placing of this huge paper industry in Uruguay...

I don't remember well now, but... Didn't BOTNIA stop producing paper in Europe because the European Union legislation prohibited these manufacturing methods and chemicals they are using in Uruguay now?

KFC: “No one wants to build a paper mill here because we're obnoxious... *sobbing* ... now we're going to behave like petulant children and sulk. *sobbing*”
    *stamp stamp stamp* *sulk*
