Uruguay’s minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Almagro described on Friday as ‘inadmissible” the exclusion of Cuba from the VI Summit of the Americas scheduled for next April 14/15 in Cartagena, Colombia. Read full article
“The exclusion of a hemispheric country from a summit which encompasses all countries of the region is inadmissible and we are going to bring it up at the summit when we have the opportunity”, said Almagro speaking with reporters in Montevideo.
Does this mean that the invitation to the Falkland Islands to attend is in the post?
@1 I think the FIG would be very happy to attend. Sadly I think what Almagro means is only countries that are corrupt and speak Spanish... kind of makes you wonder why Guyana, USA and Canada are even bothering to attend.

Forget Kenya, never mind the secret madrassas, the si

Stilling insist that some ones served as maidtrounot of Drapa's behest
traversing the boundaries of time and space .They swear, the young Barrack Obama was one of them.
Between 1981--1983 ,Obama supposed to visit to Mars twice by a way of
teleportation chamber jump room, but it is not known what Obama exactly did in Mars ( Building Birth certificate perhaps !)
I believe in person that if Obama reelected ,the US is finally colonizing Mars.
Is @2 and @4 a good guy (one of ours) or the opposition or is he just
posting on the wrong site? Maybe he has not sobered up from last nights party. Must have been a good one.

Why is there suchs a sudden obsession with monitoring what average Americans are saying on internet Social Media.CIA(its Open Source Center -- vengeful librarians),US Air Force,FBI,Department of Homeland Security and now Fed.....
FED is planning monitoring ahat you say about it on internet Social Media...a system that would identify bloggers and billions conversations on the internet...
@7 Ref 6 & 8. As you know, I like to try to understand the other person's point of view but I'm having difficulty with these two. Can I leave these two to you?
@10
The UK probably got the invite to represent all the British Overseas Territories in the Americas as UK has responsibility for their foreign affairs. Perhaps not. On the other hand, it has been said that the Falklands are in the South Atlantic and not in South America.
@10,11 I'm glad people are beginning to understand that the Federation of Atlantic Territories (FAT) are not in South America and therefore of ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN TO SOUTH AMERICANS.
If the summit is only for democratic countries, why have the likes of Argentina and Nicaragua been invited? I'm not sure banana republics qualify as democracies. I expected that moron Correa to act like a spoiled child. Ecuador is evidently a Chavez whore state, there to do his bidding. They won't be missed.
@3 countries that are corrupt and speak Spanish still the prejudice, anti-hispanic, and black legend Britain promoted during centuries against that everything Spanish. What an arrogant people you are.!!!!
@16 First thing, there is nothing arrogant about facts. Second thing, you cannot call me prejudiced when according to [Arg.rule.1] 'the argentinian rules of living in the past' your country, killed all of its first nations people, accepted huge numbers of Nazi war criminals under it's protection, prevented jews from getting travel visas, and pushed brown people under trains.
You cannot play by one rule and expect others to do differently, that's called hypocrisy.
@13 And as if to add weight to your point, HQ BFFI as was is now called HQ BFSAI (which might stand for Headquarters British Forces Stopping Argentina Invading but actually stands for Headquarters British Forces South Atlantic Islands) according to the official UK MOD website.
@18 About time too. Someone's got to stop those Argies from setting up bases on islands like Thule. Apparently they love building houses on other people's land.
nazis are in europe gorkyyoghurt, we have returned the ones that were here, simon wishental came to take them back to where they were borned and invented, and Argentina has the most important jew colony, they live absolutelly integrated in our society.
@20 I think the most important part of the Israeli diaspora is in the USA or Russia to be quite honest. The people of Israeli extraction in Argentina seem to be making complete fools of themselves at the UN and backing up Empire of Japan expansionist policies, juxtaposed to the days of WWII.
Please remember that not only did Argentina ban Jewish immigration for a great many years they also accepted a vast number of Nazi SS. Given your current foreign policy I very much doubt you did a good job of expunging them.
there 244.000 jews in Argentina or argentinians jews. Argentina is the seventh country with the most big jew colony, and the most important jew colony of sudamérica. they came escaping of the war, many.
If you want to learn visit www.yok.com
you have a problem with nazis and jews, always talking about that.
This summit is a waste of time. All South American countries should pull out and never return.I see that Greekyoghurt is speaking from his a**
ho** like always.LOL
@ 16 Would you please stop crying? You're always feeling inferior, that's your problem, you should change your mind, because you're always acting like an angry chimpanzee. Learn to be sure of yourself so no one will make feel bad, and stop complaining, your comments are always depressing. How about having some fun? Sex?
@23 You shouldn't be so quick to judge. The OAS wrote some pretty funny resolutions about the UK during the Falklands war for example the resolution of May 29, 1982. This one was quite fun, and basically suggested that Argentina was fine to militarily invade someone else's property, against the UN charter.
@25 That is why they should get the hell out of there! Why trust a nation that has backed up every dictator in South America and have been reported to have said. ” They are sons of a bitches (refering to the dictators) but they are our sons of a bitches”. They back up this dictators but go against another dictator in Cuba. To me they are all dictators and you cannot favour one above another!: This nation ( USA) cannot be trusted, and who the hell are they to say Cuba cannot be invited. They are the minority voice, against the mayority of the South American Nations so much for democracy. GET OUT NOW OF THE OAS.
No, he is just worried that Gillard, who has told the immigrant troublemakers (muslimists mainly) to leave if they don't like Australia as a Christian country. 'aussi raincloud' would probably fit the 'troublemaker' bit a treat, he's an Argie runaway after all.

Far better to let them attend but keep them strictly on the agenda.
The way things are at the moment Cuba can play the injured party card.
And I agree, if it is the Americas, where is the invite for the Falklands (there are no Malvinas)?
