I never trust any number coming out of Argentina, whether they are inflation rates or average swimming pool PH levels.

Do you trust your government numbers?

2: No, we don't, but we do trust the IMF, economist magazine, and any number of other independent institutions and organisations that have no reason to criticise or take sides. Remind me what they said about Argentina again...?

Are you serious? You can't even begin to compare the level of figure fiddling that Argentina does with that of other prominent nations. Your country can't even be honest about how many of your servicemen got killed in 1982 so what chance is there that they'd be concerned about trivial matters likes the state economy?

    I don't trust argentinians, period.

What staggers me more, is that they know they're making up the figures, everyone knows they're making up the figures, no one uses their figures, and yet they keep producing their figures... what do the people making up the figures actually do with their time?

They can't be totally honest about their casualty rate because they don't actually know for sure. That was how shambolic their military was in 1982.

I wonder if FCK ever gets that sinking feeling, which might have something to do with the water she's trying to walk on?

Perhaps you have stumbled onto the truth about their economic figures also. KFC's old man did sack all of the economic specialists.

    Let's change a few of the words from your post and see how it looks;

They can't be totally honest about their inflation rate because they don't actually know for sure. That is how shambolic their Treasury is in 2012.

Didn't Albert Einstein once say that “The definition of madness is endlessly repeating the same action and hoping for a different outcome each time?”

@2 Argie inflation is currently at 25% p.a. That's right, isn't it? Are you ready for this year's union claim for pay increases? Pretty good guide to “real” inflation! Last year it was 22.5%, wasn't it? How would you go about including your devaluation? Back in the early 70s one peso would be worth 10 million of today's pesos. Feeling good, loser?

@9 If I recall correctly, he did.

Under those measures, the argies are completely mad.

Mad psychotic bitch is the best term for Cristina Fernández de Kirchner the current disaster president of Argentina!
Others around Cristina Kirchner that are also crooks are her vice-president, Amado Boudou, he is actually an owner of the company that prints money for the government in Argentina, a major conflict of interest, but he denies it, he owns the company in the names of other friends and associates. He is being investigated and surely will end up in jail where he belongs. Cristinas 2 VERY UGLY children, Maximo and Florencia Kirchner, are also very corrupt. Maximo owns all kinds of hotels and properties adn Florencia is a film student in New York and lives in a luxury Park Avenue apartment and is known for major cocaine use. Some of us who know her in New York remember how she always used to tell us how her parents have a bank account drawn on the Nation of Argentina and for her family money is no object. These 2 corrupt children of Cristina Kirchner are self proclaimed “militants”, they belong to 2 internal terrorist groups which Cristina Kirchner finances, “La Cámpora” and “Quebracho”. “La Cámpora” goes around to the poor shantytowns around the cities in Argentina and gives the poor people a bag of groceries, a sausage sandwich called “choripan” and $20 pesos to buy their votes. These people have no choice but to accept this as they are extremely poor and have no other hope. “Quebracho” is a terrorist group which Cristina Kirchner pays to protect her, they disguise their faces and go around shaking down businesses to get money and give back to the president. They are also responsible for drug dealing, robberies and murders.

Ha ha ha and do you want that someone take your serious?

Wasn’t the IMF that didn’t see the credit crunch coming? Wasn’t IMF that fuelled the crisis in Asia in the ‘90?

Wasn’t The Economist that didn’t have a clue about the CC crisis? Wasn’t also who said that the CC crisis will be over to the end of 2007?

Wasn’t them who have been predicted the collapse or the Arg economy since 2003?

    Can I laugh again please?

    Ha ha ha

@18 If it's really at 30% which is quite likely, then it makes you wonder what INDEC are putting in their basket of goodies against which inflation is measured. ?... ?.......?

The president of Brazil now says it is at least 20% per year in Argentina. I wonder if this is going to make her popular with CFK?
