Joint declarations on the Falklands issue seem two-a-penny. Have any of the last 50 joint declarations changed anything?

And there is a flight to the UK, to Brize Norton and it's operated on behalf of the Royal Air Force.

@8 That's because you're an ignorant, discourteous, uneducated argie toe-rag. The Falkland Islanders wouldn't want 2 flights a day. How wrong it would be for nearly the entire population to go on foreign holidays at the same time. The Islanders have what they want. The British government does not seek to impose additional flights. What valid right or reason do you have?

He cannot be hard because is aware of the poor situation of MGB and he is regretting his “period” statement.

He also is aware that things can goes nasty with Argentina so he has to go to USA master UK puppeteer to see if someone can give any sign of backing to UK, because he knows he is along.

USA it is a difficult position because while doesn’t want to upset UK ally in middle east oil adventure, cannot give explicit support to them without upsetting SA. Because since Bush administration US friends in the regions have being reduced to nothing.

Any official attempt buy US to back Britain in anyway will be seen as a direct threat to the whole region and can replicate Venezuela effect aka Russian Chinese supplying dangerous weapons what will increase influence by R&C in the region.

What can be described as the perfect geopolitical storm just to back an ally that want to play the colonialist in modern time.

My Yank friend says that British are so stupid if they think that USA will back UK in any new adventure in the south Atlantic.

Now keep going guys we are just having a lot of laugh and for free.

Malen - you really do show how dumb you are! Yes we do know what a cargo plane is! Evidently you have no idea what a container cargo ship is!! You get a lot more tractors and apples etc on one of those for a lot less money than you can fly here idiot!
    For your Info:
We get TWO cargo/container ships a month from UK and rest of the world including containers from South America.

We get THREE passenger and cargo flights a week from overseas - one from Chile andtwo from Britain. Then there is a further flight from London every second week and a freight aircraft every 4 weeks.

That is not bad for a country with a population of 3000!!

In addition- if required - we now have access to cargo flights from South America - which avoid Arg airspace - if we require them.

Our leader may be soft, we admit that, but don’t think we are weak,
The American will back the British when the time comes,
In the mean time she sits on the fence,
I personally think obarmy is a disgrace to Britain,, Cameron if he was a real bloody man, should have told barmy, no backy for Falklands, no backy for Iran, its that simple,
So yes the Americans should tell the world she backs us, and stop giving dictatorships like CFK a good name,
But come November, obarmy will be gone, and things will change,
In the meantime we just have to put up with mr anti brit obarmy,
But please make no mistake, the British can and will stand alone,
And we are big enough , and powerful enough to deal with Argentina and its friends if required,
I just wish they would get on with it,
But truthfully , it may annoy us that the government seems to do nothing, but our history teatches us, that to be ready, is to be prepared,

To be mouthy and a bragger, is to be humiliated, when it backfires, and it will
CFK will ruin Argentina and destroy its credibility for decades to come,
And guess what [Danny] the islands will still be British, because nothing she does can change the status quo,,,the brits will always come out on top .

There is no government in Malvinas, only colonial pirates who have great big hand of Britain in their backsides.

They must be removed from these islands, which belong to Argentina even before Argentina exist, it was taken from them. This and also by grace of God and Papal Bull of 1496!

In 1982 we have a much more macho government than today, we had a man in charge and no ordinary man, he was a General, from Italy, same country my grandparents came from, fleeing from British and American Imperialists after WW2 (it would take several generations and Berlusconi to put right what they did to Italy).

General Galtieri did not take no for an answer, he sent a great military force with special forces under command of our counter terrorist officers like Captain Alfredo Astiz, who is now in prison and should be freed!

These were the men who removed 50,000 left wing terrorists from our streets and delivered them into the Atlantic. We are proud that they had the guts to do what was necessary.

But today I listen to the BBC and it seems there are more left wing in our nation. I am in The Bahamas at the moment working in hotel so out of touch with my country. It seems all the strong people leave and only weak left remain.

But still there are veterans prepared to attack the police for medals for Malvinas War as they protected Patagonia from a British invasion, they deserve these medals, Police should not keep them from them.

Pirates and Anglos i hate all of you. Even here in the Bahama, have to put up with your Royal family, Prince Harry and the descendants of your Caribbean pirates some of which now Mullatos but others prefer stay white. I myself do not like. Or the children of British colonial pirates!

GO HOME BEFORE WE SEND YOU TO YOUR HOMES.

Good desiring thinking but reality tells another thing. As I said before any support from US to UK will jeopardise the whole region in geopolitical terms for US.

“But please make no mistake, the British can and will stand alone,
And we are big enough , and powerful enough to deal with Argentina and its friends if required,”

Unfortunately I have to disappoint you, because Argentina cans defeat UK in a new war if its what you are thinking on. You maybe can resort to US help in armament, logistic sat imaginary, etc. But Argentina will use all help from Russia, China and Venezuela in this case. What will reduce your military power to a mosquito in the SA.

And please don’t start with your nukes because you perfectly know that they are out of discussion even US will kick your ass because this will allow Argentina to pull out of the anti-proliferation NW treaty thing that will drive US crazy especially with UK.

As I told you many time before your Cameron is playing with fire and UK will get hardly burn.

And history is just history doesn’t tell what will be the future and least with a country like Argentina. You know this 1806/1807, etc.

So be a good British drink a cup of tea and continue seeing coronation street old episodes on your telly set made in Taiwan. : )

Wow Dany at it again? Russia and China to support Argentina that is some fantasy you have.

Clearly that would never happen as that would most likely cause world war 3 given the UK's support from the US/EU/NATO.

Argentina simply has zero chance of winning a war against the UK hence the reason it will not invade. The British military strength is about 10 times that of Argentina, the British have battle proven soldiers and equipment that is so far ahead of Argentina I don't know where to even start.

The British warships can target your planes as soon as they take-off, their aircraft can shoot yours out of the sky a long way before the Argentine planes can get in range and the British submarines can reduce your military bases to rubble with this cruise missiles.

It would be a bloodbath for Argentina and one I personally hope we will never see.

Danny B - what are you smoking! You really think China and Russia would intervene militarily on Arg side if there ever was another war here? Face facts please:
1 If there ever was (and it is very very unlikley at present) It would only be as a result of Arentina firing the first shot or launching a clear attack
    that would thus be repulsed.

    2. That action would thus show internationally that Argentina (yet again) is the Agressor.

    3. Russia and China are level headed nations - they are not going to militarily back a clear agressor! After all they did not even use their vetoes in the UN in 1982!! Did that not tell you something?

4,Venezuela - perhaps - who knows - he is a lunatic anyway at times. BUT it is one thing to have a whole load of weapons - it is ANOTHER to actually have the skill and PRACTICE and EXPERIENCE in knowing who to use them.
5 If Chaves was that stupid - you can take it for granted the US would indeed side with UK, and sort him - bigtime!

So it is simply NOT going to happen The only way it would was if UK withdrerw their current forces from the Islands - then I agree - your side could just walk in again. BUT that is why UK maintains the current force levels here - to stop Arg from any idea of walking in again.

It is as simple as that - and very effective.

The Military option is NOT available to Argentina any more. The Diplomatic one seems to be crumbling around your ears the more frantic and ridiculous CFK and Timmermans Speeches get! meanwhile we go from strength to strength economically here.

    @Islander1 & Xect

1- Russia already had done so in 1982, I mean offered Arms and logistic support to Argentina, thing that by ideological reason the Military Junta (communist hunters) refused.
2- China and Russia will be more than happy to provide military weapons and other assistance to Argentina if needed, like they have done to Venezuela. Its just what Argentina what to do, and US or anyone in this world can prevent that like happened in Venezuela.

3- The Islands possible commercial oil can be profitable if Argentina provides logistic to the islands, China need oil and for them is much preferable to be in the hands of Argentina than UK. Argentina can make any deal with China or Russia to especial concessions after all Argentina is getting nothing with this “status quo” so giving attractive concession to China will be a gain to Argentina.

So China helps Argentina to trash the Brits and US and they will get a special concession for some area to extract all the oil they want in the Islands. That will be a huge incentive to China to deliver all her military strength and support in case someone like Uncle Sam wants to partner with UK.

USA is aware of this possible scenario so better to be neutral like in the Suez Canal when US told Britain that the old days of British Empire have gone. And became the puppeteer of UK since then.

For example, if l were in government, l would not let any Argentines come to these lslands.
Would make an exception for the relatives of the buried soldiers, but thats all.
lf any Argentine plane entered our airspace it would be shot down.

DannyB - as above - the Islands do NOT - repeat NOT need any Argentine logistics to extract oil.
NO assistance has been neccessary during exploration - which continues. The method that would be used for extraction is standard practise offshore in several parts of the world.
The ONLY difference is that without Argentina it costs a bit more to do - that is all.
So due to Arg policy we have UK and the Islands getting 100% of ALL the exploration work employments and supplies - ands South America gets 0%!! Well done Argentina - the oil boys from Scotland are very gratefull to you for all the jobs and business!!

Do not forget - there are NO Unilateral operations going on - there WAS an International Agreement on Hydrocarbons between ARg-UK and FI - then Arg walked out in 2007 and tore it up!
All we have done is carry it on ourselves - more fool Arg for walking out!

North Korea [you forgot this one Danny]
    Will almost certainly back china,
Now to be fair to him, and im sure that all brits will agree, that with such a powerful array of countries and weapons ranged against us,
The Great Britain, has no choice but to immediately remove its sorry ass, out of the Falklands,
The islander we suggest had better leg it to the hills, and Argentina represented by CFK and her government, followed by her loyal and hardest bloggers, [and of course Danny]
Will be arriving in the Falklands islands, by tomorrow morning then,
And the islands will be argentine, and Britain will crawl back to its little island quacking in its boots hoping and preying that these powerful countries don’t gut very upset and attack the British main land,

So that’s it then, the islands will be argentine in say, 12 hours from now then,
Now lets all come back tomorrow and see if anything has changed,
And guess what?? And for Danny ?? Perhaps he will entertain us again ??

I would consider that China & Russia are quite capable of mischief making in the South Atlantic with, particularly China eyeing up the resources that they would dearly like to get their hands on. You only really need to watch a little bit of state controlled tv in the form of RT television to see where the Russians stand on all things anti-western. A little future stirring in the background does seem a possibility. Provision of weapons is one thing, satellite intelligence, etc...although I would doubt that there would be any military forces other than perhaps advisors. There is of course one sure way to prevent this possibility from occurring and that is by Britain not offering any window of opportunity. We need to be sure in ourselves knowing that British presence in the islands is, to anyone who takes just a short time to research the matter, quite clearly legitimate. Of course, maintaining sufficient strength to ensure that any external mischief making will ultimately be ineffective is the key to the matter.

Does anyone think that the lack of development in the Falkland Islands is a bit of a handicap to the cause? No doubt the islanders wish not to lose what must now be a fairly unique lifestyle but often in the propaganda against them is this underdeveloped / less than 3000 people tag. Perhaps with oil exploration will come some opportunity to develop in certain ways and dispel any misconceptions of lack of permanence.
