Does it not seem that Mercopress articles seem to take “quotes” from people who comment on their stories.

I was the first one who used this phrase here with any frequency:

“ Finally Argentina which spent the last decade preaching against protectionism, has turned into one of the most protectionists countries and not appealing to formal rules ... has infuriated Mercosur, US, China and the EU trade partners.”

Also notice the narrative of the last moth of Mercopress making daily headlines of every little situation in which Argentina is or appears to somehow be creating rifts or conflict with other countries...

At what point does one go from reporting the news to trying to create the news?

Ambassadors are paid to say what their governments tell them to. As this particular ambassador is CFK's subordinate, obviously what he says has no bearing on the truth. Welcome to Argentine double-talk. Uruguay has many years' experience of it.

    You ask:
At what point does one go from reporting the news to trying to create the news?

    I mean:
MercoPress has passed that specific “Point” long ago.............

But youre both reading it so it must be of interest!!....i usually dont read stuff that i think is corrupt or boring....i therefor assume that you pair are no better than marcos and that other twit whos name i cant remember, and are idiots!

It makes no sense reading stuff that you already claim is drivel. My advise to you both is give marcos a howl and then you can all sit together picking the knits out of each others arses.

“At the previous Americas summit in Trinidad Tobago, Washington begged to the Argentine president not to make reference to the 2005 Mar del Plata summit when then US president George Bush was offended and humiliated, an incident the White House does not forget. However Cristina Fernandez dedicated most of her speech to praise Mar del Plata summit.”

Thats my Queen, hard as nails with the imperialists =)

““There is nothing to worry about; it is a moment that we will work through, and meanwhile strive to better the bilateral relations between the countries,” Argüello said prior to participating in a seminar on the Falklands/Malvinas Islands.”

Lol really? And that is coming from the same man that said the islanders were being held hostage by the military. What a lying idiot he is lol.

@7 The guy lives in fairyland, and this messaging is for consumption by Argentinians who will believe any old nonsense they're told by their 'eternal leader'. Even the USA folk don't consider this guy very highly and think his boss is a completely unhinged nutcase who refuses to accept legally binding judgements.

    Glorious.

Argüello recently shouted about the fulture fonds and people who dare to go to court claiming the unpaid debts of the args.
This could not be unanswered and I have sent an e-mail to him:

several fax attempts didn´t go through. Call in the embassy: Take another numer. Didn´t work, too. Another call: Take the e-mail address: Worked!

Re: Argentina – Mobuto – Congo - Argüello

    Dear Mr. Argüello,

You tell the truth: (His statetement, part of)

    “EmbajadaAbierta.com

Rebuilding a nation, despite the vulture funds
    Posted date: March 21, 2012
    by Jorge Argüello

Thirty years ago, the Congolese dictator Joseph Mobutu took a loan from Yugoslavia for US$30 million for a dam he never built. The regime fell, a hedge fund (FG Hemisphere) bought the unpaid debt for US$3 million and filed suit against Congo in courts around the world...”

    my answer:

Argentina is like Congo and you – or Mr. and Mrs. Kirchner or Mr. Boudou and all the other arg government members – are the Mobutus. You lend money and don´t pay it back but give it away to the people to let them vote for you!

This is the method how to run a country very successfully and become rich and wealthy as a government member.
You are lamenting the existence of the vulture funds. You are wrong. The arg government members are the vultures. They rob the money from small pensioners, taxpayers, and workers who saved their money for fifty years to have it in the retirement age, invested in Argentine state funds and lost it all. In Germany we had this after the last war 1945, and now after the Argentine robbery.
You claim 100 % interest for the funds to be collected now. You “forget” to say that you paid no interest the last 10 years for the borrowed money. Each bank takes you to court if you don´t pay the interest for a loan for o

He stupid grin, if it appeared on anyone else as far in the shit as he is, would make you think he is either certifiable or on a class 1 drug: perhaps he is.

@14 No. People back people paying their debts and not unilaterally replacing bonds worth $0.35 with new bonds worth £1. That's just another example of the Argentinians trying to play the game by their rules and failing.

All the funds are doing is getting what was owed to them by the Argentinians.

    Get over it, we did.

@14: the args have stolen my money.
the vulture funds have taken over unpaid debts from people who cheat people like me. the arg governmental gang are crooks. they have money enough to pay their debts. just because they claim to be an “independent country” they don´t. they spread my money under the arg people to become elected. if independence means to be able to cheat other countries, they are on the wrong track.
    THAT is the story!

As you are (supposedly) living in Scotland, even you must know that Bradford is full of ragheads and wanabee British born muslimist terrorist cells.

This twat is a raghead turncoat and you are welcome to him.

I hope you lose the referendum on Scotland and we can all save £2,000 per man woman and child in paying for you lot. Although I live in Uruguay now, I still pay income tax in Britain so at least that bit will be gone.

Mind you, old fish-face will chicken out of it before long.

BTW CFK share of the ELLIGIBLE vote was 36.4%. :o)

Since British Quisling has brough Gorgeous George into this thread, and his relations with Saddam, does anyone remember the TV images of 'Comical Ali' standing in front of the camera's calmly telling the world that all was well and the 2nd Gulf war was being won by the Iraqi's who were thrashing the Americans, just as Allied tanks were rolling down the street behind him? I had to laugh. This RG politician must be related !!!!

22 - Yes, and the number of prison inmates in Argentina is equivalent to several times the Falklands' population. So? Some countries are simply more populated than others. What a silly remark!
