“Malvinas and the Spaniards (‘gallegos’) are always to blame” warned UK PM David Cameron to his peer Mariano Rajoy when they met in London over a month ago to talk bilateral issues and the growing irritation caused to both countries by Argentina with its claims over Falklands’ sovereignty and natural resources. Mar 29th, 2012 - 03:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0@1 Blair tried to give Gibraltar away a long time ago, he was promptly told the he couldn't as the people there had the right to self determination and they had had a referendum that says they do not want to be part of Spain.
Mar 29th, 2012 - 03:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0This is quite a similar problem with the Islanders in the Falklands. They want nothing to do with Argentina due to the invasion. Until that changes the UK is not allowed to just give it away.
Instead of antagonising the islanders, you should maybe try and include them... then 2-3 generations down the line they might want to join Argentina, or maybe just become an independent country that is a member of mercorsur...

@8 Tony Blair tried to do a lot of things, and like Emporer Palpatine we managed to get rid of him using the 'good side' and he went off to some dark-side temple (Catholic church) to live out his days covering himself in money. That man makes me ashamed to be British.
Mar 29th, 2012 - 09:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0@9 You don't have to read it, the issue here is that you choose to or you are told to read it by Le Camping. You spend time here reading something you don't like to read, but you get paid to read. You fantasize about living in a good country like the UK by reading our press and sending us tit-bits of your reading. Your ultimate motivation is either intrinsic (you wish you were british) or extrinsic (fatty-maximo pays you to do it).
Either way, we're all watching your behaviour and you're quite an interesting specimen to watch. Keep going.
@10 These three Le Camping Commenters have lost their minds, there is no point questioning them about whether they see what is going on or not. It's just like germans under the nazis thought they were having a great time.

so basically argentine coast guard regularly chasing spanish fishing vessels , surely the Argentines are trespassing on british territory whilst interfering with another countries economy? is that not an act of war? i heard there was a Non-nuclear armed UK submarine in that area, couldnt think of a better time to patrol our borders against threats to British soverignty and the economic growth of The Falklands and if necessary make an example, to show that the UK will not tolerate a violation being repeated of one of its overseas territories.
Mar 29th, 2012 - 01:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 013# do it, then you'll give us the perfect excuse to take the islands. but if that happens, like the one who would attack its the UK then we would be defending us not invading...

You have no military capability. Your President, paranoid of a military coup, has all but rendered your armed forces redundant. Exactly who is going to challenge the British Armed Forces - La Campora?
See even The great and wonderful Prime Minister Cameron realy believes that the Malvinas is OURS OURS OURS :) I let you into a secret, when we return to the beloved soil we wear penguin suits to confuse the Bennies. Slowly, we take over. Already it has begun. The day of the Penguins has arrived

You talk a good fight but are incapable of doing anything else. Sorry, I have seen some made up videos showing that your armed forces actually won the last Falklands conflict in a heroic manner jajajajajajaajaj - what the hell does jaja mean? It seems to be used by many of your posters as some shriek of triumph for saying something exceedingly erudite.
Another piece of news for our Argentinian chums. The British Army of the Rhine is returning home to the UK and we need need somewhere to keep up there training. I know, we have the ideal place in the S.Atlantic next to a rather belligerent neighbour whose name escapes me. Also, we hope to get our troops back from the hell hole of Afghanistan. They would also probably like a spell in a cool climate. Please come and visit, you would be made more than welcome.

We've also told them about Brazil building nuclear submarines but they again choose to forget this for the same reason ie it destroys their UK militarising the region crap. they also choose to ignore the fact that they illegally invaded in 1982 hence the reason for our military on the Falklands.
You get used to the hypocrisy from them after a while.

Your military has been weakened so that they are no threat to the Preisdent, La Campora has its tentacles in everything and the country is rife with corruption. This is before we get to things like INDEC (a total joke), a shambles of an economy, fascism etcetara etcetara.
Total crap. What sate to be in.
Can you lads not go and live in say Uruguay or Chile until this woman and her security apparatus kill each other?
@ 29 I was supposed to be born in the USA, not in Argentina. When my parents came to Argentina, they wanted to live here for 3 months at least, then in the USA, but my mom gave birth to me before the right time, and then they decided to stay here. That was the original plan. My parents have invested money in this country, so it's not that easy that we can go and live in other countries, it's not that easy. Uruguay is a great place, but the money invested in Argentina it's not that we can take it with us, this government and the restrictions don't make things that easy. My parents came here in 1992, and things were reaaaaaaaaally different, but now things have changed so much for worse.

The good elements of Peronism were about empowering people, workers, etc. Today most peronists want to make people eternally dependent to, the poor I mean, in order for them to always have a voting block. I know this, they know this, everyone who has been honest with me including many peronists know this. That rotten system has to be purged.
