Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel García-Margallo warned on Tuesday that “Argentina has just shot itself in the foot” as the expropriation of YPF oil and gas company might lead to “a break- up with both Spain and the international community.” Read full article

Bye bye,jose and brufau,
The British posters are so angry, it's really funny to see their desperation to stop this hahaha
Apr 18th, 2012 - 01:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@ 1 You think too much, that's your problem, you should take it easy :)
Angry? Not really, but I do have a lot of concern as to this act of state larceny:
Apr 18th, 2012 - 02:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Concern that the government of an allegedly mature democracy should flout international law to such a blatant extent;
Concern at the possible effect on Repsol share values;
Concern at the fact that an international boycott of investment in Argentina will mainly hurt the many many poor people in that country. But then they voted for a peronist government, so possibly its just a case of getting what you voted for.

Angry? not at all, amused is more fitting.
it's really funny to see their desperation to stop this
Stop it? not at all, the more stupidity Arg shows on the world stage the better, keep it up CFK.
@8 Court demands, eh? Where? In argieland? Well, that's a waste of time. Argieland doesn't have a viable judicial system. No real people need attend. Just argies. Who are losers anyway. The argie government are just a bunch of stupid, childish gangsters.

Apr 18th, 2012 - 07:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The problem is that Argentina will become isolated just like Venezuela - a land rich in resources but with a xucked up government and no-one to trade with. Argentina - WAKE UP.
Keep going Argentina....
Apr 18th, 2012 - 08:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I remembered abruptly the Repsol 's secret meetings at a resort town..
where was there ..?....where was there ?...
#14 But Venezuela's NOT isolated in the region, almost every other Lat Am president, even if most (not all) are less radical than he is himself, is on good terms with Chavez. Even Colombia has changed its posture to Venezuela now that Uribe is out, while staying doggedly right wing in its governance
Apr 18th, 2012 - 09:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@16 - Iran has good relations with the other Muslim nations around it for the most part. They're still a pariah nation.
Apr 18th, 2012 - 09:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#17 Actually thanks to US ally Saudi Arabia (you know, that fried of liberty) stirring up centuries old sectarianism against Shia Iran, and other factors, thats not true. But its an interesting idea that you can be on good terms with your neighbours but still be a pariah because some rich countries somewhere else don't like you. Arrogant much?

Hahaha, your a comic Sissie.
Didn't Argentine have white surrender flags as standard in thier kit in 1982?
And just to clear things up...
I have no dislike or hatred for Argentina or it's people.
I do however have a seriouse dislike of the Argentine Government and it's policy over the Falklands and other SA islands, the bullying of a small peaceful nation who have never done any wrong to Arg is dispicable.
Oh and I might add I also dislike the radical Malvinists who support this.
Now please find something else to worry about, my penis is just fine, but thanks for your concern.

Apr 20th, 2012 - 03:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Each argentine president has the right to continue presenting a claim on the islands and you don't have any political power to attack the argentine goverment.
Did you request a meeting with the argentine leader? Don't know how? Then shut up.
If Argentina shot itself in the foot the headlines in Argentine would suggests spains stuck their foot in their mouth. If BP is any indication of how long it should take to do the math and finally payback we can expect to see a the news headlines saturated with repsol, spain and Argentina for long long but very long time. Take it easy my friends this is just the beginning of a long long but very long dispute, you people need to Chillax.
