    Article says:
    “If we negotiate with Mercosur, we negotiate with Mercosur, which is an association of four countries, we cannot negotiate with three quarters of the Mercosur as well as we cannot negotiate with three quarters of the EU,”

    Half of EU member states do not want any trade agreement with Mercosur. Who would want a trade agreement with a group largely run by past and current terrorists and including rogue states. And what price a trade agreement when the majority of European consumers don't want the sub-standard contaminated products of South America. Buy it, pay for it and then throw it away when you realise your consumers don't want it makes no sense.

    Won't this be voted on in the EU parliament? I'm sure any agreement would have to be. Surely that is the venue for member states to decide, what, if any action is taken, is taken. After all the EU was set up as a trading organisation.

    Key pre-condition of ANY EU free trade agreement with MERCOSUR must include respect for ALL EU members' territories and borders, including Falkland Islands:

    Special member state territories and the European Union:

    European Union Law, Council Decision of 27 November 2001 on the association of the overseas countries and territories with the European Community (search keyword “Falklands” as included amongst listed territories):

    The UK's credit rating has been cut by the Dagong rating agency of China.

    The agency blamed the UK's sluggish growth, which it said would be stuck in the 1.3%-1.5% range for two more years, hurting government finances.

    The downgrade from AA- to A+ puts Britain on a par with Chile and heavily-indebted Belgium, and the US, which Dagong downgraded in November.

    @8 Malverino1.
    Here we go again. Quoting selective parts of an article, to make a point and missing out other parts of the article, that detract from that point. So let me quote another paragraph from it, “In contrast, Dragons ratings are not widely relied upon by investors outside china.” Well their we go then, next please.

    Think about this, if murcosur wants an agreement with the EU, and Brazil wants, then murcosur becomes responsible for delivering its end of the bargin, including Argentina as it’s a member.

    Or mercosur can Un-include Argentina.

    Either way for any deal to happen the pressure within murcosur is now on Argentina.
