Argentine President Cristina Fernández vindicated on Tuesday the nationalization of public services and said that all decisions made “are not rooted in ideology or populist decisions. It’s the disaster caused by the concessionary companies that forces us to intervene”. Read full article

The last time the Argentine government owned the company it achieved the status of a oil company sitting on huge reserves and hemorrhaging money, hence the nationalisation.
Repsol then turned the company around, made it profitable and successful and up until about 6 months ago the Argentine government was stating it was the model company even though the Argentine government was hamstringing the company forcing it to sell at less than half the market rate which in turn was limiting its investment even though it still invested well beyond what was expected of it.
The whole thing starts and ends with a failed government.
Well, let's look at the trends, shall we...

You're right insofar as it was pick and choose, but his basis was mainly bonapartism and hitlerism with a nod to mussolinism. He spent most of his politically formative times hob-knobbing with the likes of Adolf et al, and you can see this through the outwardly fascist undertones that come out in Kirchnerism, even though they retain the socialist policy of control of business, in this case to line their own pockets through corruption.

If things get screwed-up, then that government holds the responsibility.

The memorial dedicated to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is to be constructed in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. It will be a likeness of Saint Cristina of three times life size with a national flag in her right hand and a plaque in the form of the YPF logo in her left hand. It will be made out of bronze made from copper recycled from Telefónica cables recuperated by La Campora enthusiasts.
The cost of the memorial will be paid for with bonds backed by YPF shares.
They again made it more difficult to buy U$, now you can only buy up to 25% of your salary!

Come to think of it, I should not be overly critical Argentines, the same mentality elected Obama in the US. They just want to “wet their beak a little” at my expense.

I'm sure if you send a letter to your “Queen” she would be only too glad to put up your fare, the ony trouble is that it would be on Aerolineas Argentinas so the probability of actually getting to Argentina would be low because of strikes, no money for fuel etc.
