Hot off the press. Pakistan is concerned over this recent Indian offer. A Pakastani spokesman stated that, If the Indians are seeking to buy a 25% share, we in Pakistan will look in to purchasing 26%
Stop the press! An Indian spokesman as just stated that, If the Pakistanis are seeking to purchase a 26% share, India is now considering purchasing a 27% share.”
This just shows how toothless the Argentine threats were. I am continually amazed at the juvenile behaviour of the government who seem to be in a league of their own ... the under 12s!
Maybe I will not see the day but one day FI are going to be independent. They will be super rich and, if things don't change for the better, utterly hostile to their nearest neighbour.
Imagine Israel with oil and a 300 mile wide moat. Not the heat though. Never mind, you can't have everything.
It is May 11th and I thought Argentina was to have commenced legal action against the oil expo companies in the FI? Shhhhhhhhhhh
Now they will have to grow some balls to sue the government of the worlds second biggest country. Chuckle chuckle, arf arf.
I see that Argentina's regional neighbours have not voiced their concerns despite the fact the exact same company holds a number of oil assets in those countries.
Argentina - rapidly descending into insignificance :-)

After reviewing the evidence and legal precedence, . the Barrster expressed the legal opinion that there may infact be a case to answer in law. The day did not pass without incidents. Yesterday morning while the bill was being debated in the Senate farm activists threw stones and bottles against the Legislature building while others tried to break into the building through the door on Calle 8 between 51 and 53, in La Plata. They clashed inside with members of the police force and members of the Kirchnerite activist group La Cámpora. The farm activists were thrown out of the building with the doors being locked afterwards. Some minor injuries were reported by both sides of the confrontation.
“My most absolute disavowal against the aggressions committed by the La Cámpora militants toward the farmers, who were trying to voice their discontent with the tax reform sponsored by the provincial governor” said dissident Peronist national Deputy Eduardo Amadeo.

May 10:
ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) seeks Ministry of External Affairs of India (MEA) clearance
OVL has sought MEA clearance to participate in a farm-in offer received from Falkland Oil and Gas Ltd for divestment of up to 35% participating interest in two of its exploratory acreages located in the deepwater Falkland.
The opportunity has been evaluated by OVL`s technical team as well as Fugro Robertson Ltd.
Both the teams found the blocks attractive in terms of their large resources but also risky on account of being a frontier basin as well as the prevailing geo-political situation.
Although a few wells drilled in the northern offshore indicates presence of hydrocarbons, the offered eastern and southern acreage is rank exploratory. http://indianpetro.com/

@25 We're different people, 'tard. You could do better than getting your brown shirt on and getting back into the street beating up people who don't agree with your Fuhrer.
It's hilariously similar to Nazi Germany, and you just don't see it, because you're one of those people like the pope, who is just whipped along by the apparently fun of it, until it's too late.
Marcos - They have been hanging around Darwin you spanner. Why did they only spud the Stebbing well today when the results of the Darwin well was released on the 23rd April? That is called hanging around Marcos. They hung around to collect relevant samples of the condensate to send to the UK for lab testing. It is not oil Marcos, it is condensate, very valuable stuff.
I knew you were thick Marcos but I at least thought you could count and read :-)
Think - who do you think already has the farm-in to the upcoming FOGL drill at Loligo. Hmmm must not be a company listed on a stock exchange as the name was not announced. My bet is it will be a company with connections to India.
I thought you bunch of surrenders were taking us to court? Shhhhhhh
I am not fool...I am not sloganist....I always think on strategic........!
the English are at bay on its South America strategy ....
the English are aware of related likely tripping up by Spain backed by Germany/France in EU on South American interrelations...and aware of has no prestige inside of EU ...and aware of none will listen the English
fogeyish politic tactics there ......so on !
the English must perceive has no rising of chances on Latin speaking world....
the English last attack by using Indians proves their purely impotence !
@19 MA
Surely you should a
ddress your input to OVL. I am sure they will appreciate your assessment.
@21 Max
I refer you to @21 above. It's their money.
@22 Think.
Oh! bless you.
@25 MA.
Oh shit, it's ferking Indian creativity.
@28 MA
Crack is bad for you!
30 Beef They hung around to collect relevant samples of the condensate to send to the UK for lab testing
More testing for what is already well known? Gas condensate - a lighter, petrol-like substance - is a lot more challenging to extract commercially and you and investors know that, that's the main reason the shares fell more than 30% on thatdiscovery day.
I don't believe you're getting the point - the oil companies are queuing up to drill for 'Falkland oil and gas' and sooner rather than later it is likely to be found in comercial quantities and then what use will the Tin Man's writ's or threats from CFK and Co be?
The RG's get wind that the indians are going to invest in the Falklands. the Rg govt rings up, its stopped and then the comapny announce something today?
Hardly likely which tends to suggest that once more you La camp[ora lot are lying out of your back teeth.
Cretina will however now phone them up and cry. she wears a black dress dont you know.
It's always pleasant to hear good news, this time from India. Their connections with Britain go back a long way and, as a Brit, I have always felt great affinity to that wonderful country and people on my visits there. Why wouldn't they want to work with the Falklands Islands Government.
After all, they know what we all know - that KFC has pi$$ed on her chips!
44 Chatcat Their connections with Britain go back a long way
Millions starved to dead by the British for example.
Yes the connections go back a long way, by the way did you return their diamond?
The Indian government has demanded the return of the cursed Koh i Noor diamond, a symbol of imperial power

I was under the impression this was the 21st Century?
Oh, damn, I forgot, my , great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather once took a shit on your doorstep. So I have to come along and clean it up!!!!!!!
Sounds ridiculous doesn't it. No more ridiculous than the crap you two keep comong up with.
Ferk me.
You really are throwing out your lines aren,t you
@47 Argtards live in approximately 1840. 7 years after they tried to steal the falklands and with no knowledge of the fact they lost a war when they invaded them in 1982.

@49 Judging from your country's ban on 'damaging foreign' books, I'm not surprised you're not out burning the Bible and Encyclopaedia Britannica in a La Campora book burning.
the soaring Indian population outside India could be problematic in the future
the first 17 countries with the largest Indian population respectively
1) USA
2) Malaysia
3) Myanmar
4) Saudi Arabia
5) South Africa
6) UK
7) Australia
8) France
9) Umman
10) Indonesia
11) Guyana
12) Kenya
13) Libya
14) Uganda
15) Netherland
16) Thailand
17) China
There will be very very hard continue to the present national borders and their society identities under the dense ongoing international population movements.( not only Indians...)
What a fun thread, we have Marcos and Twonk in reality denial and Max spewing incomprehensible nonsense completely randomly.
Quite clearly as Twonk pointed out all of these companies queuing up from various countries to drill for oil are doing nothing but propaganda for the British government! lol
@45 Marcos...don't you go worrying yourself about the odd diamond. I thoroughly enjoy Indian tea (you should try some Assam, v. nice) and of course we gave them cricket which they thoroughly enjoy (but I wouldn't expect you to understand!!) Oddly enough, with respect to the rather predictable colonial context that you mention, I think you will find that there are plenty of colonial buildings and even statues of Queen Victoria remaining in India to this day. I wouldn't necessarily have expected that to be the case but maybe it points towards their view of the Brits not being entirely as you might hope it to be! In any case I am sure that Indian companies will make excellent partners for the Falklands oil industry. Lets wish them well..!
@54 Max
Your point is what? The Indians are a resourseful and sucessful people. That's good for the Falkland Islands too. I'm sure they will be welcome there. Lets face it after 1982, anyone but you, is welcome there!
RG Land is now sinking into chaos. Cant believe that La Campora are now fighting with the farmers whilst the police look on. Just who is in charge in the streets of RG Land - La Campora aka hitler youth or the police force?
The strikes are now mounting, capital flight and inflation are out of control, wheat production is down, soy being sold at rock bottom prices, company's being stolen and the Rg piggy bank is being raided by the govt.
@66TC
Now you know fukk well you should not believe what you read in uncensored free press, You know full well that only the government figures are true!!
@68 I'm beginning to think La Campora are more like the SA. They're basically Nazi hired thugs that go around beating up people who disagree with the political position du jour. Hitler had them, KFC has them.
They don't seem to have developed distinct military levels like commander, etc. But it's only a matter of time.
Why aren't the Indians trembling with fear after CFK listed all the awful things she was going to do to countries or companies helping the Falklands steal Argentine fossil fuels?
Thinks a knob ignore it , one minute it's laughing there is no oil the next if there is it belongs to RG's complete and utter TIT no idea of history or concept of anything decent, maybe it's a merchant banker.
'Think' is mad as a tree he imagines people are turnips and also he 'thinks' he is hyper intelligent. When in reality i 'think' hes a 40 year old virgin, hunched over a battered old computer in BA, looking waiting for that knock on the door and hes mum to call ' your food parcels come son'
Think i am so sorry to blow your cover but lets be honest (jajajaja an honest RG jajajaja)
As an Indian this is welcome Bussiness deal for our increasinf energy needs. need not to mention how bad our energy needs are increasing and we are preparing our self for the future bad time. as well as to represent ourself as the next world power. just few days back we did test launch messile of agni 5 for our good frineds china, then now intaling guns on border with china, then neuclear neal last year with USA. now this oil deal. i think this should not be surprise for anyone. we are hungry for more and we are pushing the limits in peacful manner. we are the world leader of the near future. so definatly we will get this. so argentina or usa or england, now we dont care for anyone. you you all will have to take care of us :) get ready word golden bird of the history the ancient culture is comeing back on its rise :))))))))
@79 Thank you. Every now and again it's nice to be reminded that the UK has, in the past 300 or so years and in accord with the ethos of the time, behaved in the same way that every country would if only it could.
India may well be about to have its turn at having others taking care of it. So in your mind at least, colonialism lives on. Perhaps we can expect India to support the cessation of the work of the UN C24 before Argentina outs India as an economic colonialist perpetuating good old piratical colonialism in the South Atlantic. On the other hand, perhaps the MEA will just say no to the request for approval.
Look on the bright side boys- even if there is no significant upside for the oil discovery, at least there is an increased chance of getting an Indian restaurant to set up shop in Stanley now!!!
79 - Very much doubt you will be the world leaders in the future, yes a emerging power, and with increased clout on the world stage. But 40% of population lives below the poverty level a lot of work internally to be done before you can sustain any sort of world leadership. And our old friend China might have something to say about this. So i dont think we will be serving India as you quoted old chap. US Navy is huge, it would take 50 years minimum to reach an equal footing, US Military is huge. Not the biggest fan of the septics but you could never match the military. I think the problem will be corruption in political circles in the future, as we are seeing in china vast amounts are being spirited out of the country by corrupt officials.
@ 82. we have capabilty to control muslims and use them for our benifits. our messiles are gift of an muslim guy Mr APJ ABDUL KALAM and many other exampels. the truth in this news has yet not been established untill an official announcment will come from MEA of India or ONGC.
I think there is few guys those are a bit uneducated and knows only what is told to them by their news channels or you read what some silly print media prints. so boy there is a gift for you :) http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=BBC+The+Story+of+India+PART+1&sa=X&spell=1&search=Search&oi=spell
I hope now your eyes will open up a bit about India. I have been too many countries Argentina and england is one of them :P so i know very well what type of food and fruits you people eat and how amny times in a year you people take bath or clean yourself that too out of compultion :D. so baby days are gone when you people used to hide yourself behind the white skin. we know allllllllllllll :) so keep your mouth shut you frog of a wells. open eyes.
Asia lower continent countries have been dangerous ( could be....)
where have many manipulated secret organizations,i know them.
I doubt you can control the Indian muslim community let alone balancing with Pakistan.
by the way..maybe you aware of Sino-Pak cooperations..an example of Chashma nuclear reactor.....
Thanks your YouTubes ...but i don't use it to have spyware charges.
This is the reason we Argentines support a nuclear defense program for Argentina, let's end world piracy and fight the armed gang of terrorist nations.
89 - Good luck with that, hows the Nuclear powered submarines going??? still a rusting 30 year old hulk of a sub awaiting the Argentine reactor, i wouldn't fancy being anywhere near that baby when it goes critical.booooom How will you deliver your nuclear bomb?? could use your 40 year old fighter jets.
#90 the nuclear arms race is getting a great junp start in southamerican with all the nuclear armed thieves coming to theft resources and wealth from south America, I imagine if south America doesn't get into the game they will never have independence. India sets the example to follow, get nukes and get into the the game of theft of resources, as simple as that.
#91 every nation with nukes gets into the theft of resources, that is the example to follow, politics and diplomacy comes last.
#92 well said, this should be a wake up call for Argentine to finish the submarines and build a nuclear defence program.
They are not you resources but the resources of the Falkland Islanders. Argentina had a tiny penal colony on the Falklands for 3-months in 1833 - this is their sole claim. The British started in the 1500s and 180 years of peaceful settlement since 1833.
Still it has not been decided what is the national drink of India, in the coming september 2012, it will be decided. few says it should be milk and few says tea.
the Beatles was one of the members of Transdantal mediatation” cult

In keepeing with such a degenerated Media/Internet philosophy,like as Boolywood actors have endorsed that tend to assemble a ragtag group of loadmouthed nobodies trying to attract attentions via contrived quarrels.
i would not attack realigion of anyone. this is just not taught to me by my parents. yes i also do not agree with many point of views and the practicies doen by many so called cult or gurus. i do not follow anyone of them my parents, made me enough educated to understand what is true according to the vedas based true hindu religion and what is wrong or commercialized or anyother thing. for me sprituality is a procees of life what can not be attined directly with the help of any cult or guru or anyother practice. one has to eb satisfied through performing all the pratical responcibilites of life and then if he wishes he can take the path of sprituality. if someone can not make the human around him happy then what is the gurantee he or she will make god happy :) one has to be responcible and learn with experience :)
thank you
yes max this can be said one small part ceromany but this does not explain all hindu realigion. there is a very orginized education called oriental sutdies, i think it is avilable in many good universities. if you can find any student or teacher. then they can explain you very easily in western way what is the diffrence between these cult and real hindu religion. this is true these cults are totaly comercialized and hardly give any information about sprituality or realigion. they are mostly selfstyle so called guru or cult groups, those who use hindusim and few practices in there own way for their own finicail or other benifits. yes obviously this is avery orginized industry all over the world because they donyt have to pay tax as well as they dont have to prove how they got the money. as well as many other practices goes behind the curtains.
as a hindu born and brought up in vedic culture as well as born in golden cast hindu family, that save people around you to get traped in all this save your frineds and people. ask then to know the truth through authantic books real copies of vedas or very easy way is to get in touch with a orental studies graduate and ask them for books for exact right information.
thanks

First we should know the Indians' global investment at where are.
the Indians' first 5 investment countries are
1 ) Mauritius
2) United States
3) Singapore
4 ) United Arab Emirates
5) United Kingdom
I have their detailed investment world list country by country
they have 10 billions US $ investments in Brazil..but in Argentina /Chile (each) have less than 1 billion US $...!
Of course the Indians must be careful on trade relations where
have 9 billions US $ with Brazil and less than 5 billions US $ with Argentina....
the Indians should consider the possible risks if they tails the English !

Oddly enough, with respect to the rather predictable colonial context that you mention, I think you will find that there are plenty of colonial buildings and even statues of Queen Victoria remaining in India to this day. I wouldn't necessarily have expected that to be the case but maybe it points towards their view of the Brits not being entirely as you might hope it to be!

On the other hand, perhaps the MEA will just say no to the request for approval.
