Now the Argentinian's are going to try and upset the Indians, along with the USA, EU, etc, etc. Can't wait to see what Hector Tinman's does. Perhaps he's already off to consult with the Botox Queen...

Perhaps the conversation will go something like:

HT 'Those Indian's are stealing our oil.'
BQ 'What Indians? Haven't we killed all of them off?'
HT 'Not those Indians, Asian Indians...'
BQ ' Then send them a writ!'
HT 'But what if they ignore it?'...
    BQ 'YOUR FIRED!'

Hot off the press. Pakistan is concerned over this recent Indian offer. A Pakastani spokesman stated that, “If the Indians are seeking to buy a 25% share, we in Pakistan will look in to purchasing 26%”
Stop the press! An Indian spokesman as just stated that, “If the Pakistanis are seeking to purchase a 26% share, ”India is now considering purchasing a 27% share.”

Maybe I will not see the day but one day FI are going to be independent. They will be super rich and, if things don't change for the better, utterly hostile to their nearest neighbour.

Imagine Israel with oil and a 300 mile wide moat. Not the heat though. Never mind, you can't have everything.

Now they will have to grow some balls to sue the government of the worlds second biggest country. Chuckle chuckle, arf arf.

I see that Argentina's regional neighbours have not voiced their concerns despite the fact the exact same company holds a number of oil assets in those countries.

Argentina simply made to look like a laughing stock. Not only that but given the bums rush by one of the BRIC nations that Brazil is very pally with.

This is what happens when you go over the top and shout too much and too loud. Eventually no one takes any notice of you.

“Oh look, its the RG's shouting and threatening”.
“Just ignore them, they always act like that”.
    “Um, ok”.

Today a London Solicitor consulted a notable Barrister in his chambers on behalf of his client, the Argentine Government. After reviewing the evidence and legal precedence, . the Barrster expressed the legal opinion that there may infact be a case to answer in law. The discussion the turned to the matter of payment of the Barristers legal fees. After recieving cast iron assurances that the said fees, would be paid up front in Argentine Pesos. The Barrister was reorted to have turned to his secretary and said, “Mss SMYTH, be so kind as to show this F.....g Gullible W....r out.”

    A nation in crisis:

The day did not pass without incidents. Yesterday morning while the bill was being debated in the Senate farm activists threw stones and bottles against the Legislature building while others tried to break into the building through the door on Calle 8 between 51 and 53, in La Plata. They clashed inside with members of the police force and members of the Kirchnerite activist group La Cámpora. The farm activists were thrown out of the building with the doors being locked afterwards. Some minor injuries were reported by both sides of the confrontation.

“My most absolute disavowal against the aggressions committed by the La Cámpora militants toward the farmers, who were trying to voice their discontent with the tax reform sponsored by the provincial governor” said dissident Peronist national Deputy Eduardo Amadeo.

    May 10:
ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) seeks Ministry of External Affairs of India (MEA) clearance

OVL has sought MEA clearance to participate in a farm-in offer received from Falkland Oil and Gas Ltd for divestment of up to 35% participating interest in two of its exploratory acreages located in the deepwater Falkland.

The opportunity has been evaluated by OVL`s technical team as well as Fugro Robertson Ltd.
Both the teams found the blocks attractive in terms of their large resources but also risky on account of being a frontier basin as well as the prevailing geo-political situation.
Although a few wells drilled in the northern offshore indicates presence of hydrocarbons, the offered eastern and southern acreage is rank exploratory.

That is called hanging around Marcos. They hung around to collect relevant samples of the condensate to send to the UK for lab testing. It is not oil Marcos, it is condensate, very valuable stuff.

More testing for what is already well known? Gas condensate - a lighter, petrol-like substance - is a lot more challenging to extract commercially and you and investors know that, that's the main reason the shares fell more than 30% on that“discovery” day.

First we should know the Indians' global investment at where are.

the Indians' first 5 investment countries are
    1 ) Mauritius
    2) United States
    3) Singapore
    4 ) United Arab Emirates
    5) United Kingdom

I have their detailed investment world list country by country

they have 10 billions US $ investments in Brazil..but in Argentina /Chile (each) have less than 1 billion US $...!

Of course the Indians must be careful on trade relations where
have 9 billions US $ with Brazil and less than 5 billions US $ with Argentina....

I thoroughly enjoy Indian tea (you should try some Assam, v. nice) and of course we gave them cricket which they thoroughly enjoy (but I wouldn't expect you to understand!!) Oddly enough, with respect to the rather predictable colonial context that you mention, I think you will find that there are plenty of colonial buildings and even statues of Queen Victoria remaining in India to this day. I wouldn't necessarily have expected that to be the case but maybe it points towards their view of the Brits not being entirely as you might hope it to be! In any case I am sure that Indian companies will make excellent partners for the Falklands oil industry. Lets wish them well..!

@68 I'm beginning to think La Campora are more like the SA. They're basically Nazi hired thugs that go around beating up people who disagree with the political position du jour. Hitler had them, KFC has them.

They don't seem to have developed distinct military levels like commander, etc. But it's only a matter of time.

As an Indian this is welcome Bussiness deal for our increasinf energy needs. need not to mention how bad our energy needs are increasing and we are preparing our self for the future bad time. as well as to represent ourself as the next world power. just few days back we did test launch messile of agni 5 for our good frineds china, then now intaling guns on border with china, then neuclear neal last year with USA. now this oil deal. i think this should not be surprise for anyone. we are hungry for more and we are pushing the limits in peacful manner. we are the world leader of the near future. so definatly we will get this. so argentina or usa or england, now we dont care for anyone. you you all will have to take care of us :) get ready word golden bird of the history the ancient culture is comeing back on its rise :))))))))

@79 Thank you. Every now and again it's nice to be reminded that the UK has, in the past 300 or so years and in accord with the ethos of the time, behaved in the same way that every country would if only it could.

India may well be about to have its turn at having others “taking care of it”. So in your mind at least, colonialism lives on. Perhaps we can expect India to support the cessation of the work of the UN C24 before Argentina “outs” India as an economic colonialist perpetuating good old piratical colonialism in the South Atlantic. On the other hand, perhaps the MEA will just say no to the request for approval.

79 - Very much doubt you will be the world leaders in the future, yes a emerging power, and with increased clout on the world stage. But 40% of population lives below the poverty level a lot of work internally to be done before you can sustain any sort of world leadership. And our old friend China might have something to say about this. So i dont think we will be serving India as you quoted old chap. US Navy is huge, it would take 50 years minimum to reach an equal footing, US Military is huge. Not the biggest fan of the septics but you could never match the military. I think the problem will be corruption in political circles in the future, as we are seeing in china vast amounts are being spirited out of the country by corrupt officials.

#90 the nuclear arms race is getting a great junp start in southamerican with all the nuclear armed thieves coming to theft resources and wealth from south America, I imagine if south America doesn't get into the game they will never have independence. India sets the example to follow, get nukes and get into the the game of theft of resources, as simple as that.
#91 every nation with nukes gets into the theft of resources, that is the example to follow, politics and diplomacy comes last.
#92 well said, this should be a wake up call for Argentine to finish the submarines and build a nuclear defence program.

They are not you resources but the resources of the Falkland Islanders. Argentina had a tiny penal colony on the Falklands for 3-months in 1833 - this is their sole claim. The British started in the 1500s and 180 years of peaceful settlement since 1833.

i would not attack realigion of anyone. this is just not taught to me by my parents. yes i also do not agree with many point of views and the practicies doen by many so called cult or gurus. i do not follow anyone of them my parents, made me enough educated to understand what is true according to the vedas based true hindu religion and what is wrong or commercialized or anyother thing. for me sprituality is a procees of life what can not be attined directly with the help of any cult or guru or anyother practice. one has to eb satisfied through performing all the pratical responcibilites of life and then if he wishes he can take the path of sprituality. if someone can not make the human around him happy then what is the gurantee he or she will make god happy :) one has to be responcible and learn with experience :)
    thank you

yes max this can be said one small part ceromany but this does not explain all hindu realigion. there is a very orginized education called oriental sutdies, i think it is avilable in many good universities. if you can find any student or teacher. then they can explain you very easily in western way what is the diffrence between these cult and real hindu religion. this is true these cults are totaly comercialized and hardly give any information about sprituality or realigion. they are mostly selfstyle so called guru or cult groups, those who use hindusim and few practices in there own way for their own finicail or other benifits. yes obviously this is avery orginized industry all over the world because they donyt have to pay tax as well as they dont have to prove how they got the money. as well as many other practices goes behind the curtains.
as a hindu born and brought up in vedic culture as well as born in golden cast hindu family, that save people around you to get traped in all this save your frineds and people. ask then to know the truth through authantic books real copies of vedas or very easy way is to get in touch with a orental studies graduate and ask them for books for exact right information.
    thanks
