In an offensive to counter recent attacks on Argentina’s restrictive trade policies, Foreign Minister Hector Timerman expressed at the World Trade Organization, WTO, his government’s concern with the current course of global negotiations which face the serious risk of abandoning the development goals agreed when the launching of the current Doha Round of negotiations back in 2001. Collective Argentine cretinism at work again. At the end of the day, you have to pity to poor suckers. 40,000,000 destitute imbeciles really don't stand a chance in the big bad world.
May 25th, 2012 - 06:43 am - Link - Report abuse 0While he has a point about agriculture - Hysterical Hector and the Argentine government are the last ones that should be making these claims for them to be taken seriously. If the developing world wants better trade agreements they should pick a more credible leader than the Argentine foreign minister.

May 25th, 2012 - 10:26 am - Link - Report abuse 0Poor little defenceless Argentina (or so they would like us to think) busy blaming everyone else again. Quite remarkable for a country that would have us believe it has more friends than it knows what to do with.

May 25th, 2012 - 11:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina could never be rich and productive for so long as it continues to inhabited by slothful Argentinians .. and as we all know, slothfulness and cowardice are the genetic curse that all Argentinians have to live with.
Argentina attacks WTO, USA, EU, Japan and everyone else. Typical. When it all ends in tears for the Tin man and Co they will not accept any responsibility for leading Argentina into the third World.

Brazil here we come .
Soddy offy .
Even the US doesn't embargo food sales to Cuba, but Argentina does embargo food sales to the Falkland Islands. Since the Falkland Islands is an EU-listed Overseas Territory of EU member UK, this should be another issue to demand redress from Argentina.

The Mad Bitch of Argentina would just throw another temper tantrum and blame the UK.
FIG are doing great as they are, just ignore the bastards.

May 25th, 2012 - 05:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well said Timmerman =) Its because they tell the truth that so many powerful people hate him and the Argentines
May 25th, 2012 - 06:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why would the UK and others want to sit down and discuss anything with these deluded, sneering, hateful, dishonest and untrustworthy incompetents? It beggars belief.

May 25th, 2012 - 09:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You're one of two things:
Either, you're an Argentine living in the UK and freeloading off of the system whilst at the same time shitting in your nest and biting the hand that feeds you or,
you're British but a loser that has turned bitter so you're getting some sort of sad pleasure out of attacking the UK however you can.
Which is it?
An English practical jokester? All British-Kirchnerist comments are exactly opposite of the truth; maybe he (she) is having you on?

Skåre, l'm shocked!(not really). lol
May 26th, 2012 - 10:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0#19 There are many who would see criticism of the developed world for meanness and hypocrisy as far from the opposite of the truth. Even some of the Brits above basically say well he's got a point, if only it wasn't Timmerman I might take it seriously; thats why I'm pointing out that maybe thats why the right try to demonize Argentina in the first place, because it stands up for issues that are relevant across the world

May 26th, 2012 - 03:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So, you are STILL a Scott, living in Glasgow, still on benefits, still an old unreconstructed communist (as a member of Old Scottish Labour they all were) AND want to keep the Union?
But of course, NOT because you would be worse off under Salmon Face (which you would) BUT because you support the United Kingdom.
AND, let us not forget, you DO NOT support Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who as a Scott is your rightful Queen, but some mad bitch with a rubber face and a bunch of crooks as family and friends living in Argentina.
Mmmm, I think that just about covers it. Despicable person.
A Scot, who wishes to be Scot free, but has a leader that sounds to fishy, to be true,
May 26th, 2012 - 06:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0They want the euro, but not yet, as the English pound will do,
A proud Scot, who wont use the Scottish pound ,
Don’t wanna be rued by a freely democratically elected parliament 600 miles away,
But is quite willing to be ruled by and undemocratic Unelected president, 1,000 miles away
A scot who has his very own queen, but wants another .

Thanks Isolde, I think =) Well I'm not a monarchist at all but as I've said before I actually like Elizabeth and think she's done well for 60 years (longer than the 8 years people here seem to think elected heads of state should be limited to, at least when they don't like them anyaway and worry they might win again!) I don't, however, agree with Cameron's politics and see Cristina as a much better democratic leader than him

Who is running Queen Elizabeth down. Not me, I said I liked her evn though I'm a left wing republican, which should surely count as praise and proof of her personal appeal!

May 28th, 2012 - 03:22 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Queen Elizabeth is a titular monarch. She has no influence over British Politics whatsoever.
May 28th, 2012 - 07:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What I do like is that she is our equivalant of a president, but without power.
You only have to look at the abuse of power USA and French presidents have to appreciate that our QEII as a purely titular head is far better: No politics and therefore no corruption.
I just read what the Wiki has to say about our titular head of state and it implies she has powers that she does not. She is expected to okay what Parliment does, and does so, as that is what we expect of her. Her powers to blocking legistation has been a purely theoretical concept for a couple of hundred years now.
The Monarchy in the UK, Denmark, Holland etc works so well precisely as the Presidential system has failed so many other nations.
Long live the Queen! :)

I was trying to lighten the mood with that song, as I think most of us get fed up with the constant arguements occasionally. Read the second post down on the YouTube video and then smile at life, even if the singer of REM does look like an alien. Then put the video to full screen, listen and smile for gods sake!
