Think - wouldn't it be better if you could simply walk into the Beaureu d'change, bank or post office and exchange as many pesos as you wish for any currency you want?

To be honest, it doesn't seem to be overly intrusive and time sapping. A little annoying (and something that I wouldn't like to have to do as I don't think it is the government's business) but people will get used to it pretty quickly and it will become part of life.

The final answer at the end of the labyrinth will most likely be “no Dolares for you señor”.

“Qualify for dollars” - WTF !!!!!

I'm surprised Argentines aren't told to export goods on their holidays. One day per week away must be spent selling on street corners in your destination country.

Roll up roll up - get your Argentine...um...err...cows here?!?!?

Irrational moves of a increasing desperate, hysterical, mentally unstable dictator.

The more restrictions that are made the more people will start to panic. They say this is to pay the BODEN 2012 bonds but I don't think they will lift these draconian measures after it is paid. They are desperate and acting foolish and lashing out.
    Stupid stupid people

Ah the word Labyrinth brings one Jorge Luis Borges to mind...

“Peron was a humbug, and he knew it, and everybody knew it. But Peron could be very cruel. I mean, he had people tortured, killed. And his wife was a common prostitute.”

CFK is desperate and flailing, animals get dangerous when they are cornered.

This imminent crisis will be much worse and much longer than 2001. I find it laughable they think the BCRA reserves will cushion the blow. They are in effect out of U$, the reserves are either already committed or threatened with attachment to pay the judgments.
This is an elaborate farce that the Ks have played on Arg and they're in the final act.

You know he means Eva - but there are so many rumours and myths whirling round her name that who knows what was true and what was not.

She certainly succeded in her own right before she met Peron so you can't really imply that Peron met a hooker and married her.

Remember what I have said when a RG gov't official talks whatever they say it is really the exact opposite. Various ministers have been running around saying they aren't worried about the substantial differential in the real and gov't exchange rate...which means they ar PANICKED.

Google translate (sorry) PATACONES talked about again!!

Measures that recall the past, Entre Rios decided in March to pay salaries in two installments, while Santa Cruz only pay wages up to $ 9,000 gross public. Above that amount, workers will have to wait.

In Cordoba, some mayors revived the specter of quasi-currencies when they said that after cutting the partnership, would accept this means of payment...

    Stagflation...devaluation..hyperinflation...collapse

Right now mall sales and tax revenue are not keeping up with the inflation figures...PUBLIC AND PRIVATE DISASTER
