“The ambassador also criticized the existence of a document making the round of South American Foreign ministries which expels Paraguay from Unasur and Mercosur, and is not limited to a “suspension” as was stated and if this proves to be the case, “Paraguay has not been given the chance to expose its case or appeal”.”

I suggest they give him 2 hours =)

“In effect during the triple alliance war from 1865 to 1870, virtually the whole male population of Paraguay between the age of 12 and 60 was slaughtered by the occupying armies of Argentina and Brazil”

Argentina has quite a history of conquering territories, slaughtering the population and implanting their own.

Little wonder the Islanders want nothing to do with them.

Arm Paraguay with Nukes, that will even things up a bit.

Mercosur & Unasur and others clubs are just common maffia gangs.....that´s the single conclusion that any reasonable person can get from the the SA countries behaviour with banana eaters monkeys and bipolar crazy witches leading the team.....Bad forecast for SA as result of this kind of leaders......
We would hope that the each countrie's leaders would take his/her best effort to get the best conditions of life to their people instead of waist their time disturbing hteir neighbor that has had a totally constitutional change of leading because they have considered that the former president wasn´t doing things well.....The Paraguayan are the ones that can judge if it was well or not.....and the remaining people must just suck their fingers.....you know.
BTW, if the SA leaders claims for a short time to be represented the former president Lugo.....they have did the same and worse yet deleting the “invitation” to a founder & full member of both clowns clubs....didn´t they have a “glass roof” to act like that....
Can one president that ordered to change the constitution of his country while he was in the office to be allowed being reelected unlimited times or another that sue the independent economic analist because they bring their own inflation rate and growing rate too much different take the democratic flag to attack their neighbor without respect the non intervention principle from OAS chart....??? It look like the thieve behind the judge.....I mean, just a joke...!!!!

No one is going to read a 2,000-character post of claptrap, Sergy.

As for Paraguay, it is entirely at the mercy of its neighbors -- it depends on them for exports, imports, and energy, and it is not going to get them elsewhere. The OAS position, too, is indicative that Mercosur's attitude will be validated in international organizations with broader scopes. Paraguay is cornered.

Unfortunately you are right, Paraguay having demonstrated DEMOCRACY IN ACTION, finds herself at the mercy ofthe corrupt regimes thatv surround her.

    Viva Paraguay, viva la democracia.

However Saguier’s claims went further and by mentioning the “Triple Alliance” recalled one of the region’s greatest bloodbath and extermination attempts. In effect during the triple alliance war from 1865 to 1870, virtually the whole male population of Paraguay between the age of 12 and 60 was slaughtered by the occupying armies of Argentina and Brazil (Uruguay left when military actions were over).

Surley this cant be true! those peace loving Argintinians who only want dialogue and friendship. lol
