Brazilian opposition blasts Rousseff for the management of Paraguayan situation

Have we invaded Paraguay, bombed its people and dumped depleted uranium like Britain did to Iraq? No? Who's denying Paraguay's sovereignty and self-determination, then? Mercosur is a multilateral tool and it has clauses of its own -- a democratic one. Paraguay was suspended not because of an innovation of Brazil's foreign policy but because it was in violation of it.

Brilliantly put at #1, Paraguay's elite have been holding Mercosur back economically for years by refusing to let Venezuela in for ideological reasons, now they've overstretched and begun to lose everything

Please illuminate me as to how applying a clause that has existed in Mercosur's 20 years of history, one that Paraguay has possibly accepted from the bloc's inception, a violation of the country's sovereignty.

We did, Spanish, French, and British.
