    France stays in the EU because of the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) that takes 40% of the EU budget. Britain needs to be out because we're paying for it and because we do best when trading worldwide. Even if we discount South America, which we do, there are still at least 170 countries with whom to trade. How can we lose?

    @4 I can see why you call yourself “LightThink”. Perhaps “LightBrain” would be better. Or even “NoBrain”.
    Britain does not import 80% from the EU. But we can get what we want elsewhere.
    EU, like argieland, is currently conducting a propaganda war to persuade Britons that we have no future without it.
    Fortunately, it's not true. Britain's capabilities are well beyond the EU's, or argieland's, understanding. Perhaps we'll have a new British Empire in South America. Once we've destroyed the corrupt regimes in argieland, bolivia, brazil, ecuador, peru and venezuela. Then we can show the rest how countries should be organised and operated. At last democracy will arrive in South America. Real democracy. Not the totalitarian, dictatorial versions used by above-mentioned countries.

    We import about 40% from the EU ,
    And about 60% from the rest of the world,

    We are better out , than in , it is a direct result of EU restrictive practises , that tie our hands to Europe,

    We need out, to trade with the rest of the world .

    .

    @4 whicheverThink

    If it helps, last year the UKs main exports tended to be electrical and electronic equipment of various sorts, cars, pharmaceuticals and chemicals and the like.
    Generally complex things that need a degree of skill and intelligence to produce.

    How about Argentina? The beans and cows market going well?
