“It’s for the people of Gibraltar themselves to determine their future and we wouldn’t engage in any discussion about Gibraltar that the Gibraltarians didn’t want us to engage in and I think that’s important to understand.”

“UK/Spain Bilateralism is dead and will never ever be revived under any circumstances. Spanish ministers and their diplomatic corps need to understand that.”

    Oops :)

“Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar believes the Tripartite Forum provides an adequate framework to resolve matters of mutual interest to the citizens on both sides of the border. This is our policy and is totally in line with the policy of the British Government as also stated on numerous occasions and communicated to the Spanish Foreign Minister by William Hague.

“There is therefore no change in the policies of either the UK or Gibraltar on the matter and the Spanish Government, media and, presumably, Spanish diplomats must be fully aware of this”.

For Spain read Rgenweener, for Gibraltar read Falkland Islands, for Guzz this means NO FOOK OFF, we are happy as we are and have the right to decide, UNDERSTAND!!!!!

Gibraltar is correct, in her approach,
We all know I never trust politicians,
They serve themselves, and you can bet ya arse some politicians are pissed of, tough shxt,

Anyway, the sooner we get out of Europe, we thinks the British military will be back ,

Its presents will be felt in Gibraltar, the royal navy will return,

And the same for the Falklands,
We think it is and was Europe’s intention to turn a blind eye to Spain, and hoping with a united Europe with Britain as part, our power would have been removed, and giblatarian would go to Spain, and the south Atlantic would also have bigger problems,

So fxck it, we get out and get our freedom and military back.
And Cameron can swim all the way back to his beloved European overlords, to whom he is desperately trying not to offend.
    Just an irritating thought.
    .

@8 Don't call Guzz “a nobody”. He'll get a hissy fit. In fact, he's an argie colonist. Never heard of an argie colony? It's called Uruguay. Guzz likes to call himself a Uruguayan. But that's like someone from Yorkshire calling themself a Yorkshireman rather than British. As matters progress, “Uruguay” will cease to even be a nominal independent state. It isn't really one now. Headed (sort of) by frightened, senile, old Pepe, it kow-tows to argieland at every turn. Anybody remember how much argieland took (stole) by refusing to buy it's currency back after “uruguay” had exchanged worthless argie money? Consider how argieland interferes in “uruguayan” trade. Refusing to dredge the port channel, blocking trade between “uruguay” and the FI, interfering in “uruguay's” infrastructure by falsely claiming that “uruguay” was contaminating the river (when it was actually an argie town) and interfering (again) with the landing of catches by Spanish fishermen. And to all this “uruguay” says squat. Probably not surprising when Papa Pepe rushing off to BA to ask CFK what she wants him to do next. Of course, Paraguay is the current target, but with so many “braziguayans” in-country, Brazil will probably take that. But the indecisive nature of the Cisplatine War, and the British mediation, will probably give CFK the “ammunition” to declare that she is only “recovering” argie territory. This is the future. There you have it. “Guzz” = colonist.

I don't know much about Gibralter, I kinda wish Franco had attacked it in WW2 just so that he could have ended up being overthrown with the rest of the fascists in 1945 instead of being able to sit the war out and keep Spain a repressive backwater for another 30 years. But now that Francoism is long gone I really don't understand why these people of Spanish heritage and on the Spanish mainland (so not even with the usual arguments of Falkland Islanders!) are so against having anything to do with a modern European democracy. OK so Spain's not doing so well now but was the Gibralter position any different before the current economic situation? At the end of the day we “needed” Gibralter for purely imperialist reasons of control of the Mediteranean and access to the Suez Canal and on to India, now its an anachronism and surely some accomodation should be arranged with Spain? Just as Spain should stop occupying parts of Morocco, none of it really makes sense in the modern world, and I'm consistent on that

    @19argentine sunshine,
Yes, the Aussies do call a fool, a drongo.
But what is the real meaning of the word?
You've now got time to look it up in a dictionary, which you should do because you obviously don't know what the real meaning is.
Of course, you are not an Aussie though, are you?
Whats that wind called, Mr Melbournite?
And you're not fooling anyone. Fool.

BK. Do us a favour. Dispel the unbelievers who think that you are not Scottish. I have revealed a good deal of my background, how about you doing the same ? Where born, schools, employment and current town of residence. This would silence the other posters who think you are a closet Argie. I could verify the details given. It would add much more gravitas to your posts.
