Israeli ambassador in Uruguay Dori Goren said that the incorporation of Venezuela of Mercosur should “concern” the countries of the regional block given what he described as “Venezuelan support to Iranian agents that establish terror webs in the region”. Read full article

Disclaimer & comment rulesVenezuela's integration should be a concern to Israel only, as it is the opening act of the revocation of that free trade agreement that should never have been signed in the first place.
Jul 30th, 2012 - 10:08 am - Link - Report abuse 0On the same date as Mitt Romney gives Israel the green light and US support wrt Iran's nuclear activity ... hmmm
Jul 30th, 2012 - 11:44 am - Link - Report abuse 0Looks like VE will take the Mercosur countries in the opposite direction.
Terrorism is the ostensible message, but the Ambassador is warning the South American countries against 'backing the wrong horse' against their better interests.
Well a story about two countries i really can't say i have any respect for (Israel & Venezuela).
Jul 30th, 2012 - 12:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0On the plus side if Argentina & Venezuela are getting in bed together, me thinks its good news for the falklands.
@3 No, argieland and Venezuela getting into bed together is NOT good news for the Falklands. Chavez is a bullying warmonger and woulod just love to aid his fraternal colleague. Dust off the contingency plans to destroy the argie and Venezuelan navies and air forces. They will be needed soon. British fleet submarines will probably be starting to gather in the Caribbean and South Atlantic in August and September.

Jul 30th, 2012 - 01:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Chavez will end up becoming the voice of Mercosur, his protagonism is not going to stop with Dilma, Rousseff or Mujica, he sees himself as a great Latin American leader, in fact he sees himself as the only leader, the chosen one, and he will impose his anti-american and populist agenda on everyone in the trade bloc. It is going to get worse.
Jul 30th, 2012 - 02:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 05. you spelled zionists wrong.
Jul 30th, 2012 - 02:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 04. Conqueror. Its exellent news because good old uncle sam, is alot less likely to sit on the fence if argentina moves closer to venezuela. Not that theres going to be a war anytime soon.

Jul 30th, 2012 - 03:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@7 Sorry, I don't believe it. The U.S. would have to do a 180 degree turn from its current bilateral issue position. And what would be in it for the U.S.? It could not, reasonably, take immediately effective action against Chavez without going to war. We know these LatAm places pay no attention to the U.N. If necessity arises, it will take 24 hours, minimum, for British Army and RAF reinforcements to arrive. Although we don't know how many RN submarines are in the area. And the only thing the argies and venies will really respect is adequate forces. Do NOT rely on U.S. intervention. It will ONLY happen if it is in U.S. interests. And, if it happens, it will COST. Britain takes NOTHING from the Falkland Islands. The U.S. are not philanthropes.

Jul 30th, 2012 - 03:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I can say i have much love for the US, but Venezuela's still in there backyard and Chavez has made it very clear he dislikes them, so i think helping us would be in there intrest. Its call geopolitics. Not that NATO would help much!.
More fairytales from a zionist aka communist scum. Europe and the US should stay out of this nonsense and let Israel clean up it's own mess. Camoron, Mittens loud mouth the draft dodger Romney and Barry O'bozo will say and try everything out for their pathetic masters.
Jul 30th, 2012 - 05:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The argentine leader has the rights to sign any military agreement with any country including Russia. There is no intentions from my country Argentina to invade the islands or initiate any war .
Jul 30th, 2012 - 06:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But, there is a possibility the US and Israel will need the help of the UK soldiers going to Iran around 2013 mainly to exterminate the rubish bloody english soldiers.
The Arizona Republic edition of 7/30/12 stated Mitt Romney is in Jerusalem said ...the US and Israel to use any and all measures to lead the effort to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
So, is clear that THE UK CONQUERRRRR IS SIMPLY FULL OF SHIT MAKING THREATS AGAINST MY COUNTRY ARGENTINA.
ConQUEEERRRRRRRRR likes to inflict these viewers with mental cruelty which is very abusive.
Interesting how none of the partisan know-nothings and shrills decrying Venezuela's integration have commented on the article below, a rare instance wherein Mercopress departs from its agenda on the topic and allows voices explaining that Venezuela integration was both legal and beneficial to the bloc.

You're not making any sense. Care to re-write message? And please, Israel is not going to attack Iran, and Romney knows it. Instead, Israel wants the US to attack it. This little, plucky, human-rights-respecting democracy has been agitating for war on Iran ever since the US invasion of Iraq.
#1 I couldn't have put it better myself, so I won't try =)
