Jul 31st, 2012 - 11:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0The full annexation will effectively occur on August 12.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 11:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0Didn't realise that the nations of Mercosur+Paraguay were *Annexing* (sic) Venezuela!
Mujica probably had it better when he said that the Mercosur nations were joining Venezuela.
VE may be a crazy nation but it has the black gold that nations crave; and with VE within the boma, everybody inside gets VE oil 'cheaper'.
Illegal unless Paraguay gets to vote on this as by Mercosur rules all members have to be unanimous.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 11:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0This is 'Latin American' democracy on action. If we want something badly enough, we'll just break our own laws and do it anyway.
This is the best thing that could have happened within Mercosur. It will eventually lead to it's demise. Paraguay will leap first, then Uruguay.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 01:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What I find so funny is that it is suppose to be a tax free trading bloc and Argentina and Brazil already raised taxes on 200 products to one another. It's like a colon and sphincter battling it out. South American cannot support itself with the real world and they can't seem to get that. But China and Iran with be their superhero.........next chapter please!
Jul 31st, 2012 - 01:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well in the photo Danilo Astori does not look too happy about things
Jul 31st, 2012 - 01:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Absolutely......I am sure he feels Uruguay was analized with Chavez. It is certainly the death as Hugo will take control of the bloc, bullying his way with oil.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 01:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@2 I'm not surprised. I'm disgusted. I'm not disgusted with argies or venes. Who would expect animals to act differently? I am disgusted with Uruguayan cowards. Two areas of LatAm that need to be totally destroyed. Vene-sh*t and arg-sh*t. I want to destroy them both. I want to see them burn in hell. I want to stamp their ashes into the sh*t.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 02:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Seems like a lot of hatred

Or two scorpions seeking free frogs.
lol
Jul 31st, 2012 - 03:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Conqueror Dont be to hard on us. While I agree with some of what you and lepracorn say - our previous left wing President Tabaré Vasquez did not put up with this sort of bullying.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 03:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But you must appreciate our position. We are a small nation sandwiched between two giants, either of which could take us over in a day as our armed forces are negligible - no Royal Navy destroyers to back us up! Politics is the art of the possible. Our govt was freely elected without fraud and we do prize our democratic ideals. Having said that its about time Pepe put his trousers on to defend the national interests of all Uruguayans
Welcome to our bloc mr. Twice Democratically elected president Hugo Chavez, we hope for Venezuela and our brothers nations to progress and benefit from our trading bloc, I will also like to invite Paraguay to settle their problems in Paraguay and apply to being reinstated into the trade bloc, we hope Venezuela will consider their application in good spirit and act as quickly as Paraguay did in supporting the mercosur trade bloc. Good luck with that.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 03:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#1, #2 if it's legal to arm terrorists and kill Muslims to UK and USA I am sure what mercosur did is legal. www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=26686
#3, #4 paraguay was suspended for not having a legal representative and mercosur can't be incapacitated do to one rogue nation. File a complaint and wait quietly.
#5 witch latin American country do you hate the most ?? and can you tell us where are from??
#6 apparently you never traveled beyond your front door, you might find it interesting that the American free trade agreements works the same way, I pay taxes at the border on all whines and liquor and some stuff like food products get destroyed at the border. We don't complain why do you??
#8 Mujica is really happy for Venezuela why can't you be as well. Mujica is from Uruguay where are you from??
#9 you sound like a Venezuelan or Argentine molested you as a child, we are sorry but maybe you being a flaming homosexual had a lot to do with it, try speaking like a man or at the very least like a boy.

Jul 31st, 2012 - 06:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Mujica seems to think Uruguay will soar up on a cloud of trade with the Dead Man Walking.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 07:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I could not see how, so I asked some business friends here. They can't see how either.
Old mans dreams.
Astori is a very questionable asset since it was he who agreed the original Pluna deal with an outfit who had never run an airline.
So pirate pays duties on all his whines? Perhaps that should read I do duty to all my imperialist whinge?
Jul 31st, 2012 - 07:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Paraguay the only leader in South America but they are only 6 million people! but they have the heart of a lion, the will endure the punishment they are no estranger to that.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 07:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I send a message to the people of Mercosur you just kill the future of Latin America. Who will sign a treaty with mercenaries? All their leaders are convicted felons’.
Dont given importance to saxon's opinion. This is invidia of the our freedom from your disires.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 09:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0First Paraguay does need to reapply for Mercosur membership. It was unilaterally suspended not expelled mercosur membership.
Jul 31st, 2012 - 09:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Chris I would agree about Astori. He is supposed to be a top flight economist who ran the economy pretty well. Leadgate was a bad mistake but I was pleased to see Ex presi Vasquez step up to the plate and say I was president at the time: the buck stops with me
as for brasiliero @21, can you please explain your woolly remark? I dont understand it
Redpoll, sorry, i dont understand english. I go to the google translator to can understand the text/article. I am here because i like know the foreign opinions about our SA.

Jul 31st, 2012 - 10:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0so much press in MP about a sportman putting a foot over a step part of a monument, there should be the same press about the kicking of the Virgin protecting the arg soldiers in the cementary. Glad to see ex combatientes sending letters to Cancillería and embassies asking for explanations.
@ 23 Muito bom brasileiro. But I dont fully understand Portugues either and for that reason I dont post on Brazilian blogs on this subject

Aug 01st, 2012 - 05:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0Many things you don't understand indeed, it doesn't stop you from posting your views on it, does it?
Besides, why should people posts be dependant on your capacity of understanding them? I fully understand Brasileiro's post...
#9 And you think that WOULD be legitimate???
Aug 01st, 2012 - 08:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#15 I pay more taxes then your entire income. And can you explain to us what it is to live of handouts..because that isn't living, I call that merely existence.
Aug 03rd, 2012 - 07:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#26 lol since when was ignorance a limitation to white trash stupidity??

Aug 03rd, 2012 - 09:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Colon breath, you pay more in taxes than my entire income. How massively stupid is that statement when you do not even know what my income is or even what I do shit breath.
I believe you pay more taxes because you are a Christina whore. Your nose is so far up her brown stained asshole that when the day comes she stops short, you will shoot out her mouth.
