I have to say mercopress i dont think it was in good taste to have the picture of the argentine president overlapping the Falklands map, very disrespectful. :)

Actually, it is known as merluza negra in Argentina and Uruguay

but not to be confused with Argentine hake, (merluza argentina)

' what has this “our patagonian” merluza to be with Fallklands??'

It knows it is more likely to be properly conserved in Falkland waters than in Argentine waters.

Whatever they are they're being caught in Falkland Islands waters. You can't claim all fish that are named after part of your country no matter where they are in the world silly person.

@10 Have you ever watched a fish? They do a thing called “swimming”. This frequently leads to the fish travelling from A to B. Translation: Fish travels from (A)rgieland to (B)ritish Overseas Territory. Have you considered that these fish just don't like you? Surely you can understand that. The Falklanders don't like you. WE don't like you. Why should fish be any different?

I've no idea what you're talking about.
This isn't about any fish in Argentine waters. It's about the FI toothfish fishery.
You can do what you like. You can carry on eating 'merluza' 'all the time'.
We'll just carry on fishing sustainably, and looking after our resources. We don't have to ask you. It might well benefit you actually, but there's no way of avoiding that.

At least you got the bit about acting correct because surely a lot of acting would be required if you were to pull that one off.

Malen, you deadbeat, you got your fish types mixed up. Just admit it and fuck off.
