Merkel, Hillary and Rousseff the three most powerful women, says Forbes
Forbes magazine ranked German Chancellor Angela Merkel the most powerful woman in the world for the second year in a row in the annual list dominated by politicians, businesswomen and media figures. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton placed second, followed by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, making the top three spots unchanged from last year. Read full article

#6 As I said before its Dilma who stands out as good and impressive, not Hillary who stands out as bad and unimpressive - Merkel is that too, presiding over the failure of Europe through austerity. Anyway whats wrong with a bit of partying, its her policies that are wrong, not some candid photos or the fact her husband was a cheat!

The poll was for Powerful women - by definition high political office must have power. It's what you do with it that counts. Of course, your darling Christina has power - in Argentina. I think the jury is still out in that one.
Elizabeth II has very limited power but she has more than this------------- she has RESPECT.
History will remember her when the rest are footnotes.
I now await the tirade from the usual suspects.
The slowness is strong in this one.

You are assuming that woman in the US are not like Hillary, but in my opinion she is a strong woman, not submissive at all, as she stood against everyone. Again, the wrong in this history is her husband. Whatever, your opinion or mine. She is still the most powerful woman in the government of the strongest military force of the world, so she cannot be skipped in this kind of list

In this case,being married to a womanizer.. Hillary knew that Bill is addict to sex....but she failed to seek help for him which resulted in several sex scandals....Bill and Hillary simply could not remember that Chelsea needed a decent life rather than to be distructed with Monica, Jennifer, Paula, etc.
