    What a pity.

For every scrotum necked cloud there is a massive silver lining.

CFK's bullying of the Falkland Islands has AT LAST awoke FIG out of their long hibernation to tell the world their side of things and also has made FI supporters examine the history (rather than accept carte blanche Argentina's crap )which has discovered Argentina's dogma is shot full of holes.

As a result of Argentina's hostility the Falkland Islands are gaining more (not less supporters, and more reason to suggest why they should not consider becoming part of a country that has to buy votes.
Though hopefully there will be elected, a pragmatic Argentine president who has not been brainwashed at school with misleading and innaccurate history based on inherited Nazi dogma(ie Peron, Hitler's buddy).

The lack of oppostion and this latest twist in democratic values will allow the ruling regime another term, if she is serious about the new voting terms then to show transparency the changes if applied should take affect after the upcoming election and not a ploy to gain her more votes in the short term.

Is it still Democracy, when the ammending of the vote is to allow the “bought” populist to vote and to gain unfair advantage for the “K reich”.
strange how yet another megalomaniac has championed the deluded militant youth in a last throw of the dice, and as i remember that didnt turn out to well for “Hitler”

Personally i hope she stays, nobody does economic, diplomatic and social demolition quite like the “K model” :)))

she will always get my vote, on comedy value alone!!

“But Fabian Perechodnik analyst from Poliarquia warns that experience shows ‘Kirchnerism’ has a great communicational capacity to overturn in its favour even adverse public opinion”

Its called being right. And pointing out the quality of the opposition. If 2/3rds don't want her to have a 3rd term, fine, don't vote for her. But why restrict her right to stand and the rights of her supporters to vote for her. And I think come the election whether the Kirchnerist candidate is Cristina or someone else - Timmerman would be a great choice imho, or Alicia, or Kicillof - I predict they'll win. Who else can - Macri the crook, Scioli the Menemist etc?! And remember when Cristina won last time with 54% of the vote it was another left party that came 2nd - the right have a long way to go and I don't think they'll make it =)

    @15
The National Constitution sets limits to Governments to avoid having power groups ruling the country for decades. It's a basic concept in any repuclic.
I understand that you might not have great respect for the National Constitution but there is no any real reason for changing the it except a new CFK reelection and his “coronation” as “Queen of Argentina”.

I remind you that the Head of Government of Buenos Aires won the election for more than 60% of the votes.

Furthermore, only a teenager lacking political conepts can define a Peronist government as “leftist”. Peronism has ever been and still is basically populist conservatism with little attachment to constitutional rights and obligations.
Please do not scare off the British people (or people from the FI) that read articles of this site with your fascist and populist arguments.
Just respect the law and the Constitution !!!! quite easy

You are a childish and immature person. How old are you? 15, 16 years old?

You are the kind of person who makes your countrymen feel ashamed of you and of being Argentine.

The majority of Argentine people would despise your stupid coments.

I hope CFK would ever think about doing something stupid with FI again, so she would have to be face to face with a stronger one. Unfortunately, she is not so stupid..so she prefers to steal poor and unprotected own people and leave the country in ruins again.

    @22 PH

We know that you are living in Ontario, Canada, yet you say you are an Argentinian.
    “my family left Argentina...”
How old were you when you left? You said indignantly, that you know what it is like to live in Argentina because you lived there.
Were you an adult or a child?? Did you ever live in Kirchnerist Argentina? Did you ever have to earn a living for your family there?
Or, did you grow up safely in Canada with a stable government and economy?
Aren't you grateful for the free high-quality, education you received here, and the free and reliable medical services?

Are you a Canadian citizen, now?? You do know that an applicant for Canadian citizenship is also pledging an allegiance to Canada's society and it's people.
Are you still living at home? Do you have ANY experience making a living for yourself as an adult??
You have a lot of opportunities here, yet you seem to be inexplicably angry.
Are you frustrated for some reason?

You seem to have trouble keeping your temper. I have to wonder, do you have a Criminal Record?
You have said that you wish you could return to Argentina.
    What is the problem?

If you are not prevented from travelling by a Criminal Record, then it must be that you CHOOSE not to return, for some other reason.

Nobody in Canada would stop you from going...

Let's for the sake of the argument say Christina doesn't get to run for elections. Maybe menem or macri can save them and end up with another 2001 caserolaso in the dark without electricity in the whole of Argentina, not to mention the whole of national security in the hands of foreigners who only care for profits, and a system prone to corruption. Without CFK even Maradona can end up as President, or let's say democrats go out by force and the galtieri or vidella like take power, we end up with Argentine corpses all over the land. The political arena in Argentina is starting to look a lot like Venezuela when the USA was trying to get rid of Chavez with no success. The reason was simple, no other good alternative and the two most popular political party had lost credibility. Argentina today is better then in the last 40 years and all thanks to the K's. There is no alternative to CFK, take my word for it I come from a long long family of UCR activist. And even i support her policy, a lot of what's CFK is doing are things that should of being done long time ago. But she would save a lot of head aches if she was to replace the peso with gold coins.

With only 2/3 people against, the odds on her getting a chance at a third term probably improve.

Still a week is a long time in politics, and this is probably still some years away.

    @Prat Hunter
You should know that a “third term” for CFK really works for the Brits.

Wouldn’t want someone competent or believable arguing the Argy case in the world (that applies double for TinPotMan).

Also with the country “in ruins”, you’re no real threat to us.

But you don’t live there, so you don’t care if the place gets trashed.

Your concern for your country, and fellow countrymen, is underwhelming.

To be honest, its a pick from a bad lot it seems with CFK being the worst of the bad lot.

Those who say Argentina is doing better than even conveniently forget most of that is from creating the biggest default in the history of the world and then enjoying the worlds growth and increases in commodity prices, not good management of the economy as we have seen now with the economic collapse Argentina is going through whilst suffering the worst relations with the global powers for a 100 years.

Essentially the K's got lucky for a little while and are now failing miserably.

It's a choice no man can take from me in America from north to south we are free to roam, the lines that Europeans drew on the ground is for the white man not us. We being here long before your papers and laws where writen, and we will continue to be here long after you are gone, we are part of the land for us there is no other place but America. You will have to build walls around yourself to keep us out of our land. We are surely coming and there is nothing you can do or say. And be more discrete when talking to yourself, people will think you are a ex-con. Harassing or targeting me will get you nowhere trust me racist people are easy to expose.

As much as you and I disagree about the Falklands, thanks for stepping in to point out to everyone the lies PH is trying to pass off as truth.

A few half truths, laced with Official, but unrelated web links and statistics is a common propaganda ploy.

Fortunately, you, me, Hepatia, Happy Canuck, ElaineB, and others can see this.
As valueless as PH posts are, its Important that his tactics are exposed to the rest of the audience here.

Other than that, while he winds everyone up, he will never be “convinced”.

Obviously, he is only interested in himself.

I agree with you too, he must be very young and possibly mentally ill.

With that in mind, I'm not going to bait him or bother to respond to him anymore.

That being said, I wonder if he is a Canadian citizen. I asked him already and pointed out that to accept citizenship it implies an allegiance to the society and people of Canada.

    He has not answered.

Has anyone pointed out to him that the world does not owe him ANYTHING.
There are 7 billion others and nobody is owed a living.

Neither has he contributed anything to earn it.

Facts, the fact you didn't muster one objection is enough proof.

#55 actually I agree with you about objectivity. However what we do have is the freedom of the press and the ability to critique, castigate, condemn and denouce the President of the United States, Congress of the United States and every agency in the United States without them fearing jailtime, 42 million dollars in fines and the need to seek political asylum from persecution from the government for disparaging them(the government).

    @50 Tobias
The Mohawks would have scalped PH, the Incas would have put him to work as a slave, the Aztecs and Mayans would have cut out his beating heart as an offering to their gods.

I grant you Europe at that time was at best marginally better, however my comparison was with today.

The blood of those “utter rabid savages” flows in your veins same as ours. It is just as much you historical legacy as it is ours.

CFK doesn't need a change in the constitution leading to a 'third term'. She just needs a puppet Kirchnerite from the Left for one term, then she gets another 8 years.
This would take her to about age 75.
This strategy would give her an extra four years to maximise her personal fortune.

The only problem might be if her puppet turned out to be better than she. The tactic is to choose a 'grey man' (like the way Lula gave the presidentship to Dilma).
    It worked for Putin.

Of course there is always the 'Hugo Strategy'. The life-long presidency of a dictatorship under the guise of democracy.
The majority of the Argentinian public might like the way this is sold to them, and vote for it.
This could be the first authenticated case of turkeys voting for Christmas.

#62 A direct quote from the article:

“YPF announced NO SPECIFICS following the meeting in Moscow led by YPF President Miguel Galuccio and Gazprom board president Alexey Miller, but said the accord COULD lead to partnerships with the Russians in drilling for shale oil and gas in the South American country, as well as more supplies of Russian liquefied natural gas for Argentina's energy-hungry economy.”

#65 Yes very astute Geoff...except as our resident Brazilian how can you possibly see Dilma as Lula's Putinist “grey” “man”!
