German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble rejected on Monday a European Commission plan to give the European Central Bank sweeping powers to monitor all Euro zone banks, saying it should instead focus only on systemically important institutions. Read full article

    There will be no european version of the “US Federal Reserve Bank”, germans will stand against this concentration of power and robbery to the “little man”.
    There must be a consecuence for states having bad habbits in their budgets, everything else will result in economic disaster.

    vestias, there is already a solution for those banks who bought toxic stuff without responsability. Let them get broke, plain and simple free market rule.
    There will be no common economic liability from northern european state for southern states to spend as much money as they want. That would be insane...tear Europe appart.
