I take my hat off to you John and Nige and the rest of your team; MattJeep and Co. You guys have worked so hard to turn this around from something 8 years ago that was given no hope by most.

    WELL DONE.

Now that you have a shiny new abbatoir and ships exporting meat, when will I be able to buy Falkands Lamb in Sainsburys in the UK?

Is there potential to drastically increase livestock levels in the Islands or is the land too poor?

No2: That's no way to refer to the Argentinians.

Yes Benson I know. But if the oil industry takes off you are going to need a lot more home grown beef. I n spite of the political hot air coming out from Montevideo most Uruguayans would be only too pleased to trade with you folk, whether it be beef or animal genetics to improve your beef herd

Frankly I couldnt care a tinkers about what the Argentines do in thier own country. If they want to keep Queen Cristina as thier head of state thats thier affair. But when it comes to thier foriegn policy of strangling a free people such as Uruguay or the Falkland Islands - and the free trade between the two- I will fight it on these blogs tooth and nail.
