The reason is because UNASAR includes only South American states of Hispanic origin. The OAS includes the Anglo Saxon nations to the north - which have diametrically opposite national interests.

And because it not take care of the effects that its moves can make....like in the Paraguayan case.....a totaly wrong way of action against a country that applied its own Constitution which was not respected by Unasur members strongly pressed by Argentina, Ecuador & Venezuela the most negatives members of the coalition...
Better to take the required time to analize the situation (something that populist leaders like these are not capable to do as is known) before to take too quick actions that probably will affect in a negative way the population that is trying to help........And a different point of view like the northen countries have because their different heritage will be a benefit at the time to make desitions to counterbalance the “Speedy Gonzalez” way of these last demonstrations from Unasur actions....

I would definitely agree that unasar is a racist based organization. A hundred years from now people will still be asking...“why is south america so undeveloped?”

@4 “Shame and dignity”? Cameron showed dignity and had no need to show shame. Argieland has no shame and no dignity! Imagine setting up a base on someone else's territory. Invading someone else's peaceful territory. Stealing people's money. Forcing people into poverty in order to make more money out of them. Continuing to make false and illegitimate claims to someone else's territory. Bullying, forging documents, lying. Arranging to have a country penalised for abiding by its own constitution. Lying about staging a major sporting event. Plenty of undignified actions and no shame. The cesspit of the world!

A President from the left, realistic and with common sense. A continent of Peace and a key protagonist in this century, threatened by a continuously dying and crumbling empire.

Argentina is not an empire, never was one, nor will it be one. It is part of a great union called Unasur. It sure has done a pretty good job of contributing to their demise of empires though, and it continues to do so to this date.
There is only one dying and crumbling empire remaining lads.... and only the blind need to be reminded what that is.

Here in Argentina we are heavily protesting the Kirchner administration, their endless corruption in every corner of the government, stealing of public funds, outright lies to the public about everything from security to the economy to official inflation figures.
Today we start a new protest in Argentina - it's called the “ANTI-KK campaña”. In our language “KK” is pronounced KaKa, and that is what we think of the Kirchner administration.
We ask all citizens against the Kirchner “KK” regime to leave a bag of excrement or bring your dog to defecate on the steps of Congress, on the steps of the Casa Rosada, or in front of the door of any office of “La Cámpora” or another militant organization of this joke of a president called “Kolina”.
Leave bags of excrement, or garbage or any other repulsive, non-dangerous item that stinks on the steps of or in front of any of these government related places. This is a peaceful protest, non-violent, and will send a strong message to the “KaKa” government that is destroying lives in Argentina.
KK para todos en el gobierno!.......

Briton, you are right. The American “Empire” is crumbling. Clearly since the Viet Nam war. It is one that was gained by not so criminal methods as the British Empire, but through Imperialism and deceit none the less. It is a price to pay for Imperial intentions and behavior. With a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat I have seen Navy bases close around the world, as well as at home, but logical at the same time. Nations want to fend for themselves and we have too many resources spent with so much to be taken care of here at home.

thus does this not make argentina as guilty as the british one were,
    ,,,,,
the british empire no longer exists, britain gave it back, we now live in the 21st century,
and thus for you, or CFK or argentinas point of view,
you cannot condem britain for the past, then act the same when t it come to the falklands,
    is this not true.

    @13
Just what part did Argentina play in the demise of who's empires? Independence from Spain, I grant you. The minor skirmishes with the British during the Napoleonic War, grant you that too, but as the British Empire did not even exist then, what part did they play. Please enlighten me, just what “Great job” has it played in the demise of empires. As a bit of a history buff, I would be interested to know.
