I just don't understand why INDEC even bothers releasing this info. I understand that they have to release their inflation reports every now and then but this kind of stuff is so far off the page as to be a joke

Dec 17th they need to right the INDEC figures or lose IMF, IDB, WB, G20 (probably) she is going to have a hard time making U$ debt payments next year with out that inflow...

It will be a big blow to dear Nestor's legacy so I doubt she'll change a thing.

Let's compare the USA vs Argentina the direction of poverty:

Poverty rate USA 2000 before internet bubble collapse: 11.2%
Poverty rate in Argentina post 2001 banking crisis: 50.4%

Poverty rate USA today: 15.6% (underreported, private estimates at 17%)
Poverty rate Argentina: 23.5% (composite of private estimates)

The trend is clear between recovery and decline.

I didn't pick any numbers, those are the just the numbers, whether you like them or not. I even discarded the INDEC figure, and did a composite of numbers ranging from 17% by UBA to 31% by CEPAL.

And the numbers are the real numbers and no one can dispute them.

USA poverty rates have typically ranged from 12 to 15% over that past 50 years. In the economic world it's referred to as “cycles”
The UN pegs RGtines poverty rate at 30%, but no one in the government there counts anything, they toss weighted darts.
Rumors abound that Tillerson cancelled on ass lips. I wonder what that does for the “Amazing magical Mystical YPF Raod Show Tour”
Let's see.....I....christina the great , will berate England at the UN and Galuccio will beg the English, simultaneously I might add, for investment money the the London financial district.
As Tillerson asks...“what about Repsol being reimbursed before we talk”, ass lips tells him ....“no worries, we paid them like we paid the Paris Club”

Yes please lets do that shall we?? on the one hand you have a president who cares about the poor and who is trying, really, really trying to do something about it.

And then on the other you have KFC who, instead of staying at home has gone running to the UN like its some teacher in a school playground, and is about the throw a strop because they won't give her her islands back, no they won't and I don't care what anyone says they're mine and I want them back! Please Miss, MISS!!! they're not listening to me and I want them back!!!!

Like anyone is really interested in her whinny assed opinion. If a thought went through her head, it would be the fast trip in South America.

You were right in your comment at 23 no one gives a crap in Argentina least of all the president ( well, why should she? she was the one that put them there )

Instead of thinking “I must do something about this” she is trying to bend them over still further so she can screw them a bit more.......

Back then Argentina was 1/3 of Latin America's stock market value, and the world's biggest bond market outside Europe and the USA.

    Like that helped us.

Since the Argentina is a blip in the bond market screen, and the stock market has evaporated. We have done better.

Hardly 2 or 3 minutes on the Falklands, would be awkward with galuccio in London sucking for investment money. If she had oratory skills it must be when she is on her knees. 15 minute allotment and spent 40 minutes rambling mostly about the IMF. I traveled from Missiones to Ushuaia, every inch of Argentina. And I'm from USA.
A “poor” American comes across more money via US welfare system, social security, begging, foodstamps, etc in any given day than an upper middle class Argentine.
“Poor” people in USA = upper middle class Argies.

And yet, nowadays USA is cheaper than overpriced Argentina. The only thing more expensive in USA is housing, and not by much. And if you consider how much better the quality of homes in USA are, then really US housing is cheaper than Argentina on a quality for quality basis. EVERYTHING else, even beef, is much cheaper in USA than Argentina.

Getting worse for the Argies very quickly now.

    - 27% inflation = loss of purchasing power, depletion of personal savings, which in turn means less consumer spending, fewer jobs, and an economic slowdown.

    - strict currency controls and foreign transaction tariffs.

    - Biometric “Nationality Cards” will keep tabs on movements of citizens and their financial transactions.

Not looking very encouraging for Argentinians...

A: You take off your shoes before you jump on a trampoline.

Q: What's the difference between a Christina Kirchner and a prostitute?
A: The prostitute gives value for the money she takes.

Q: What's the difference between a dead skunk in the road and a dead Kirchner in the road?
A: Vultures will eat the skunk.

Q: What's the difference between a Christina Kirchner and a catfish?
A: One is an ugly, scum sucking bottom-feeder and the other is a fish.

FYI-James Anaya, the U.N. special rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples, has conducted the United Nations’ first-ever investigation into the plight of Native Americans living in the United States. Anaya’s recommendations include advising the U.S. to return some land to Native American tribes, including South Dakota’s Black Hills, home to the famous Mt. Rushmore monument. Anaya says such a move would be a step toward addressing systemic discrimination against Native Americans that continues to this day. “The indigenous peoples of this country ... suffer from poverty, poor health conditions, lack of attainment of formal education [and] social ills at rates that far exceed those of other segments of the American population,” Anaya says. “These conditions are related to a history of wrongs that they have suffered.” [includes rush transcript]

Try to remember that the descriptions you give to other people fall into you when you get things wrong. The USA did it in the past and they are still doing it.Do you know that they don't recognise Native American religion in all circumstances.

You are really grasping at straws, aren't you?

In a modern state, those that are enlightened and existing CURRENTLY, Church is separate from State.

ie. religions are not recognised “in all circumstances”

You are accountable for your own CURRENT actions. If they are immoral, amoral, or criminal, they are not deemed 'acceptable' because some one else committed the same crime in the past, or recently.

The genocides of Bosnia, Rwanda, and Cambodia, are no less morally repugnant and criminal because the Nazi's did the same thing.

Argentina must take responsibility for its own actions and moral choices.
