Argentina’s intention of having the Falklands/Malvinas sovereignty issue included in the agenda of the Americas Defense ministers’ conference currently taking place in Uruguay was rejected, mainly because of the positions from the US, Canada and several Caribbean states. Read full article

Why? Because everybody is fed up listening to her whinging, even her own are now saying she is using the Falklands to deflect from internal problems, something everyone knew all along, silly cow. Military exercises are a provocation, militerizing the South Atlantic, etc etc. All this shit coming from her Botoxed mouth whilst HER NEIGHBOURS build up and modernise thier armed forces, whilst Rgenweener sits firmly in the 80's, well good luck NOT

Oct 09th, 2012 - 09:22 am - Link - Report abuse 0Cristina: so we have your support on the Malvinas?
Clinton: seriously, what drugs are you on?
As Argentina has a lovely history of not getting on with it's neighbours or supporting others who might attack them, has anyone thought that the rest of SA supports Argentina because they secretly want to see them get their arse kicked by the UK? oh, no, did you? We're so sorry... one threat gone overnight and they know they might shut up for another 10 years afterwards.
Oct 09th, 2012 - 09:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0The Falklanders are now well on their way to economic independence and their formal declarations and presentations around the world have largely been accepted.
Oct 09th, 2012 - 09:49 am - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina's government is seen as anachronism; curiously colonial.
That is why their claims are ignored except for some diplomatic platitudes that are intended to sooth a neighbour's quite unnecessary and often irritating noises. The Democratic approach.
CFK has thrown her rattle out of her pram, and although she keeps crying for it, no one will pick it up for her. There. there...
Argentina colonial....jaajajajajajaja hahahahahahahahaha in your dreamsssssssssssssssssssssss and who says this?????????? UK, jajajajajaj, hahahahahahahaah

@12 Yeah.. That's right, dummy. Colonial. And imperialist. But now the whole world knows you for what you are. Belligerent - as you attempt, unsuccessfully, to destroy the economy of the Falklands in contravention of the UN Charter. Cheating - as you continue to fail to pay off your debts and even ignore judgements against you. Deceitful - as you lie about everything, including the Falklands, your economy and your dollar clamp. Genocidal - as you refuse to admit all your many crimes. Imperialist - as you continue to attempt, unsuccessfully, to seize territory on which you have only ever been trespassers. Ignorant - as you are incapable of recognising when you have been caught out. Rogue - because you refuse to recognise legal judgements, quote laws that don't exist, ignore international law, ignore your own constitution. Vicious - as exemplified by the 1982 invasion of a group of peaceful islands, by your murder of tens of thousands of indigenous people, by your intention to forcibly depopulate the Falklands. Undemocratic - by your illegitimate actions toward Paraguay, your intention to invade Chile, the attempt to set up a dynasty in place of democracy. And so many other things that make you the scum of the earth. Other words like corrupt, dishonourable, grasping, greedy, immature, mendacious, pathetic, queer, racist, xenophobic, all apply to argieland.

Oct 09th, 2012 - 12:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Reminiscent of previous conferences, clearly not a regional issue worth discussing at these gatherings. Argentina are making fools if themselves on the world stage with this issue, now that her own people are starting to publicly state she is using this as a deflection from their masssive economic problems. Do they not realise that if they can't even get the issue raised in a South American defence conference, what chance does she have with the wider world. The whole issue is starting to bore people.

One minute Argentina screams 'it's a global issue' then when they don't get the overwhelming gobal support they claim, they fall introspectively into an 'only South America counts' position.
No wonder other countries reciprocate by telling you 'we support your position over the Falklands' and then go on naval exercises including the UK.
Lol.
Senior Gusts, Argentina's is rabid nationalism that blinds the people from your very critical and immediate internal problems. Your President capitalises on this by mentioning Britain and the Falklands to distract.
Oct 09th, 2012 - 01:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina's economy is declining, inflation is rife, dollars are banned, foreign investment is declining and the state is snatching businesses from the private sector. It is a downward spiral and you are blinded by nationalism over some islands. Get a grip. But tell us all again how wonderfully positive Argentina's current and future positions are. Go on, I am listening.
Let's enumerate CFK's diplomatic successes of the last few months:
Oct 09th, 2012 - 01:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 01) She's had her flagship impounded for debt.
2) She was made to look an idiotic autocrat by students at Georgetown an Harvard.
3) She didn't get the FI question incorporated in the final statement in Colombia.
4) She didn't get the FI question incorporated in the final statement in Peru.
5) She didn't get the FI question incorporated in the final statement in Uruguay.
As one can see the taxes which we pay to our avaricous government are very well spent as far as foreign policy is concerned (just in case anyone needs a hint, I'm being sarcastic).

Oct 09th, 2012 - 04:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Welcome to 21rst century conflict management. Dysfunctional person A raises a stink by leaning on person F so as to get person U in a position to acknowledge and validate A because F would rather work with U because A is a jerk and A blames U because U is less of a jerk than A to work for.
A has been incessantly harassing F, often by passive aggressive means but once she went totally crazy and squatted F's cubicle for a week and when U came to help F when he came back in town from travel, she vandalized it rendering parts of his workspace unusable to this day. A blames U for happened and when confronted what she did says that she was on meds that week. However, no one is really buying it since she has pictures celebrating her little adventure on proud display in her desk and frequently says she wants to do it again but U is bullying her by doing nothing more than sticking up for F.
The people in A's section at the office know that to get any work out of A they have to pander to A and therefore have to pretend that A's beef with F and U is valid, not work with F, but enjoy a good working relationship with U so A takes it out on F more still.
Did I mention that A fancies herself as being in a workplace-protected classification (though jerks are not covered by anti-discrimination law) she cries harassment, sexism and racism whenever someone doesn't give her what she wants?
U agrees to talk with A but insists that F be at the table to make F's stance to A very very clear that F is sick of A and likes U better, but A screams you just don't get it!
(Guess who has had to deal with this sort of thing before :-0) Working at an all-girls middle school or a daycare center is better. But of course in the real world, you can fire A!
@17 I'm sure your friends around the world will be glad to hear that! But then you don't really have friends, do you? Just countries that mutter something to keep you quiet.
Oct 09th, 2012 - 06:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@20 You have more problems than that. You're effectively broke. Your currency is only good as toilet paper. You're queer. You're full of druggies, paedos, murderers. You're losers and cowards.

@31 what is really sad is that not only is the scenario I witness and partially experienced (plenty of years and two zipcodes ago) are uncomfortably analogous to the topic at hand but a two of the initials match too! What is the line about History repeating itself as tragedy and farce? But A was contained very early on, but also through the whole thing A couldn't understand why no one saw things exactly as she did and why the support she got was only ceremonial before the final intervention finally happened. Fortunately no desks were vandalized in the drama I experienced.
