So have the pits been emptied and the waste disposed of correctly? We have no idea, but given the usual nonchalant reaction of LatAm governments to ACTUALLY putting their words into actions I somehow doubt it, especially given the statement of plaintiffs lead lawyer.
So why the USD 19 billion, such a large amount of money to do some cleaning up? Does Correa want a new Boeing for a Presidential jet and a new Presidential yacht?
Shouldn’t the health of the rainforest villagers have come first and the clean-up done by the Correa misfits.
Ah! I spot the error in my logic: given Correa had the police fire on his own people who were protesting as the coward hid in a hospital, he doesn’t GAF, all he wants is the money.
