Oct 22nd, 2012 - 06:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0Does that mean you can't photograph them on the toilet? Well I should hope not.
To be honest, I'm surprised at this story, I would've thought that photographing or filming police and military in the course of their work would've required permission anyway.
On the other hand, it the police are filmed in a riot, and are found to be up to no good, then surely that would be evidence against the police, so curbing the rights of journalists to film it, could be considered a way of tampering with evidence.
A fine line needs t be drawn, because if you go too far you deny the freedom of the press, and start limiting people's human rights.
European democracy, what can you say :)
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 06:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0The freedom of expression means you are allowed to upset muslims, should you say something about rhe westeners, you are done for ( ask David Kelly....'s wife)
Freedom of press means the media is free to lie at will, but should you show some truth in public, the drive will come after you (ask Assange).
Last we have freedom of choice. This one they deal with greatly. You are free to choose between pest and colera, every 4-5 years... ;)

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 07:02 am - Link - Report abuse 0More like the Latino approach to democracy. A daft idea considering the number of mobile phones that record video. How can you enforce it?
Dunno, ask the Brits, they got loads of expertise when it comes to enforcing laws that restrict the liberty of people...

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 08:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0Such as?
@4 - Really - So wheres the press censorship and prevention of freedom of speech here in the UK. Last time i checked i could say what i wanted, do what i wanted, when i wanted and could write the most damaging article against my government and publish in the public domain without fear of any secret police.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 08:58 am - Link - Report abuse 0I think your confusing the UK with Argentina.
MMM see no evil, hear no evil, report no evil so beating protesters is their normal police functions.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 10:49 am - Link - Report abuse 0Video surveillance of the public might not be viewed as a restriction of your public liberties, let Chavez would do the same. Then it is, of course...
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 10:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0On Argentinas behalf, I've most surely read poison, venom and common mouthcrap from various Argentines towards their own government, still they keep returning... As should be, they are darn funny to deal with...
good idea!! stop these radicals putting up videos of security officers on you tube......
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 12:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@2 European democracy. I think not. This is Spanish fascism. The sort of action one could have been expected in the days of dictator Franco. But this is a government of the Partido Popular. The People's Party. Except when the people get in the way. In the same way, CFK is a Justicialist. Except when it comes to justice.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 12:10 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@8 So, having made the statement, you can't come up with any examples. Not surprising. But in argieland, you can have your company taken away if you don't give the government enough money. In argieland, if you say what the real economic situation is, you get fined. In argieland, if you want some dollars because you're going abroad on business or holiday, you get told how much you can have. If any. Public liberties? You have a few things to learn. And another one I've thought of. If some bunch of criminal foreigners try to steal your property, the UK sends a few people along to get your property back and make sure the foreigners don't try again. See WE believe in personal liberty!
*10 what are you on about!!?? The UK has more security cameras per square mile than any country in the world yet you don´t call it a Fascist state..do you??
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 12:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@11 - They are not security cameras, they are close circuit television camera used to detect crime, nothing more. All data recorded other than acts of crime, which are kept for legal reasons, is deleted after so many days as per required by law. We actually wanted this CCTV cameras so we can walk safely in town and city centres and in high crime areas, knowing that the cameras are watching and would catch anyone trying to commit a crime against us of to someones property.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 12:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So the cameras are there in the public interest, not to limit our liberties. Hell even police officers have been prosecuted as a result of being caught on said CCTV cameras - So that point alone makes whatever point your trying to make, a mute and irrelevant point.
To my friends in the UK.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 01:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Let’s not forget that that bastion of socialism, New Labour, enacted a similar law AND soon sent a legal note from the Home office recommending that no Police ‘Service’ used it.
Do you not recall, when it was first enacted, a police officer, who was committing an offence and was being videoed doing it by a witness ARRESTED the person to protect him from discovery.
Of course he was discovered and the ‘government’ made to look stupid, as socialist ones are the world over. Act first, think later! Does this not remind you of AG and the antics of TMBOA?
Well seems that repression, austerity and cuts are going to be the most popular words in Greece, Spain, Italy and UK in the near future.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 01:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I just wonder if in UK the Govt. is going to switch off all cameras while beating Britons?
Lol Danny, At least its not dollar clamp, increasing inflation, run out of oil for energy, impounded or broken down navy ships, lack of soybean seeds for next's years crops, loss of major global high street brands, press censorship, government stealing of companies, free falling economy, CFk president for life crap, loss of democracy, riots in every major city and town, Strikes by armed forces and coast guard, seizure of other Argentine assets in the future. - Would you like me to go on as i could right a bloody essay about the problems in Argentina!!!!
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 03:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0And before you say you can do the same for the UK, we all know alot of the crap you will list would be untrue of greatly exaggerated in a pathetic attempt to prove your point.
As for the government turning of the cameras - Well the answers is no, as the cameras and there operational costs are funded by local public bodies/organizations, not by the government.

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 05:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The Prime Minister with the biggest balls and the most effective policies of getting the country back on its feet was LADY MARGARET THATCHER.
And for the Argies, she was a woman. :o)

Oct 27th, 2012 - 10:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#17 Why don't we get any one good as a Prime minister? When was the last time we had a Prime minister who actually made a difference?
Churchill and Attlee, though political opponents most of the time, were the last two PMs who between them changed Britain for the better; Macmillan also did good in giving up almost all our colonies, and Wilson had a lot of promise but was over cautious didn't deliver as much as he could have, at least society got more tolerant in his term. Thatcher made a big difference for the worse, and since her no government politician has dared move away from her brutal model. The worst of all PMs though is Blair, because he's a war criminal who should be in jail. The best prospective, if currently unlikely PM, is Galloway
#18 But she was neither as beautiful, or strong, as Cristina =)
